Ok I've heard a lot of talk about fanfics over the years but I never really gave them a second thought. i have absolutly no idea what they are except that its a person who writes a story. I'd just like to know what they are and where I can find some. Possibly tell me which ones you like best and why. I recently thought of giving it a second thought when it was brought up in a converation and I was the only ignorant one :S
I used to read fanfics a few years ago when I was into anime I guess. They are basically stories about characters from cartoons, shows, movies, etc and fans of those shows write a narrative with some of the characters. I think there is a fanfiction.net that is the main library of fanfictions. I wouldn't know any good ones though =/

I don't read fanfiction myself, but my cousin told me there's tons there. Enjoy. Toungue
One piece of advise, be prepared for anything.

I don't know if there are some twisted fanfics there, but always remember, people can be very wicked in their fictional stories with their favourite characters.
I have FF.Net bookmarked, heh, and visit it daily. The anime pairing fanboy in me cannot get enough of good fanfiction, which is hard to come by even in the mountains of fics that get dumped on FF.Net every day. I used to write a great deal myself, though now I'm technically retired. I do still offer my services as a beta (editor) though!

You have no idea. As a general rule of thumb, straight pairings are vastly outnumbered by... well, everything else.

LOL... That's interesting to know... Kind of makes me think I'll stick to writing normal fiction lol
By technicallity, The Neopian Times is considered fan fiction, due to the stories not being canon or part of real Neopian history. So you could have a read of things there and still have an understanding of the concept. Wink
