I'm amazed by the influence done by reflectors such as super u-bend (snow beast), ultra dark reflectorb (Giant Chomby) and shovel plus (mootix warrior).. It can virtually win you half the battle if used correctly.

But Kastraliss poses a different problem since it doesn't have any heavy hitting weapons except for PCC (which is hard since it is divided into 3 different sets of icons).. I need some advice on Kastraliss. My pet is still at 85 str boost with 220 hp.

I do have thick smoke bomb/jade elixir/shooting star muffin .. And have a H4k helmet to freeze him. But he is still a tough one to beat. Any advice is appreciated.
Dual-Prickly Potions are going to be the way to go. I can't offer a real strategy to use with them, but they're going to be the heaviest-hitting weapons you can get. It's possible only one will be necessary, depending on what your second slot will need to be used for to survive.
Yup. I thot of Ppots too. They are getting cheaper.. I had one for 290k a couple of days ago but sold it away already. I probably have to shop for one again.. =x
How does the Prickly Potion actually work? It has Fire_defFire_defFire_defDarkness DefenseDarkness DefenseDarkness Defense as offence, so I suppose it's a reflector? But how can it work efficiently against Kastraliss? Kastraliss doesn't use either Fire or Darkness for attack...
It works like Glowing Cauldron. You're not actually reflecting that fire and dark; you'll always deal those no matter what icon types get thrown at you. They show up as reflected icons, and in 1-player the weapon uses your opponent's strength boost to attack, not your own -- so if you have, say, a 125-boost pet and use the potion against a 700-booster, you'll basically be dealing six icons with the 700 boost.

And in 2-player, it uses the opponent's strength boost if you click the go button second (but is blockable/reflectable), and it uses your boost but is unblockable if you click the go button first.

There, I think I got that straight, but someone can correct me if I messed it up. As you can see, though, it's VERY useful if you want to max out on any opponent.
Okay... So does it actually reflect at all? Or does it just do FireFireFireDarknessDarknessDarkness at your opponent using the opponent's stregnth? Eh, maybe it'd be clearer if, say, in this case, bnw2 uses a Prickly Potion against Kastraliss who uses Pirate Captains Cutlass. What would happen? Would bnw2 reflect 6 of the icons from the Pirate Captains Cutlass or just be doing FireFireFireDarknessDarknessDarkness at Kastraliss using whatever boost Kastraliss is at?
It would attack with the 6 icons (3 fire, 3 dark) using Kastraliss's strength boost, but the icons would appear as reflected ones, like in this screenshot inhinyero posted.
Ah okay, you've been a great help Cranberry, as usual. One more thing, how is it possible to know what boosts each 1-player opponent is at? Is it just their difficulty to the nearest boost rounding down, their difficulty to the nearest boost rounding up, or neither of the two?
I'm really not sure. I used to think their strength boost was the same as their hit points (so an opponent with 230 hit points would have the 200 boost), but I was recently told that's not the case. I'm not sure if there's any way to tell without fighting them, looking at the damage they do to you and doing the math. If there is, someone please let us know! Smile
We need to calculate the boost multiplier. 200 HP doesn't mean he has 200 str and def boost .

If an opponent does 6 icons with 18 damage , he has 18/6 = 3.0 multipiler , that means 125 boost.
Okay, maybe I'll do the test then. It'll take a while since I'm about to have dinner.
