You might want to consider buying 15,000 Neopoints worth of stocks everyday just to give your income a little boost. My budget and income are both about the same as yours, and I find the stock buying thing quite nice.

Your idea about blocking a bit of each icon is really hard for this budget range... I'm kinda out of ideas for tonight. I might be able to come up with a list tomorrow morning when my mind is fresh.

I think the implication was that he makes 20K a day, and puts 15K in Stocks each day, thus netting 5K of actual funds a day.

You're more familiar with the Two Player and Tournament scenes than I am, but you're always going to have the problem of someone having a more expensive/better set than yours. That's the flaw (in my mind) with Two Player battling. It's become far too competitive at the lower Boosts, and the only thing you can really seek to do is find a way to cripple every weapon in the game, which eventually ceases to be a possibility. You're coming close to peaking, though. You're doing well if you didn't have any exposure to Neo four months ago.

The icon amounts of each icon defended doesnt have to be substantial or anything, just enough to cut weapons down by 25-33% or more is what i'm aiming for

i'm not so defensive that I'd go as far as getting g-shield and f-tab and using them each turn while attacking with a species ability, yet I want the option of picking defense from a few good weapons

I rather find that comment unnecessary. If it's a choice, then it's a choice. Some people choose to keep on labbing their pets and not have balanced stats. Some people choose to train strength only. Some people choose to not train after getting 250 boost. Some people choose to dislike certain types of weapons eg dual duties and freezers.

Anyway, I am looking at your set and I see that you are lacking defences in fire, air and physical (if you get rid of the Patched Magic Hat. And yes, I think you should). I agree with thesovereign's suggestion of Scarab Ring. In that, there is a bit of an answer for your fire and physical defences. Your pet boost isn't too high to deem that weapon too weak, so really I consider it good.

As for your air defence needs, a cheap consideration is Sinsis Crown. 5 air icon defences plus a little bit of extra physical defence at a very cheap price, makes it a pretty cool shield.

There you go. If you account these two with the weapons you already have, you have defences for all icons (except water). Expenditure: less than 3k. If you take up these two suggestions, then you can rid the Downsize!. I would keep the Rainbow Clockwork Grundo, though. I owned it before and I loved it! Wink

I don't see this as a matter of choice. Rather, it's a matter of being human and advancing yourself to a higher level...
If you're still losing with a set like that in League 7, the system is corrupt as-is and something really needs to be done in the design aspect of the Battledome. Either way, if you're not participating in NCW events, why are you staying at low stats based on a format that is most used there? I'm not getting this...

Anyways, I'm looking at your set, and I fail to see the point of the Air Faerie Crown. 6 of the 9 icons are already covered by your Wand of Reality, and the Light defense might as well be useless if people in your battling level have things better than the Wand. I'd sell it and wait around until you can upgrade the Bow into something else; perhaps a Werelupe Claw Necklace?
Can someone please brief me on these leagues and how they calculate what league you belong in? Just so I know a bit more about these things and might be able to help a bit more.

Regardless of what you think, say things with respect.  I honor and will uphold your right to an opinion.  I will not sit idly by and watch you suggest a person is a waste of flesh because they choose to do a game differently than you would.

Your comments really aren't proper or called for.  You can have a totally different slant on how to build a pet, as I might.

Wilt, I took offense at your comment.

Gaijin.. If you have the funds, the possibles could be clawed shield for a fire surprise.
Or perhpas later on, gshield and scarab ring..  it is pretty tasty together.  While it doesn't pack much damage, it sure blocks a lot.  That combo is the reason my pet is on the HST for Qasalan Mummy.  I will try and do some more looking, but those are two possible avenues to consider.

By the way, I like your set a lot.. not certain on the value you are gaining for the defense, but your boost is higher than your strength, and thusly your opponents since you are in league competition.

by the way.. my pet is EvylNewt .. think he is still 84 on US top 100 pets.

If your fights allow single use items, an alternative plan would be to swap to jade elixir, thick smoke bomb, and toss in either shooting star muffins or maybe even a ruby elixir for a fiery surprise.. the bombs do 15 icons each.. the former is quite inexpensive for what it does.

the jade is a one time full heal, costing roughly 8k. KLP is favorable to this in my book, long term.. but for the tougher battles the jade could make the difference.

the thick smoke bomb could be a use as you need alternative to a shielding issue.. with no holes for the round in question. Until you could afford a tear or an elite shield, the tsb could be a viable alternative plan.

Probably because his guild fights league based wars most is my guess
