Please give me advice on my set and tell me what I should do.  I haven't been training at all since last time I asked for help, so the stuff are pretty much the same.

Stats
Level : 39
Health : 221 / 221
Strength : LEGENDARY (102)
Defence : EXCELLENT (59)
Move : AWESOME (76)
Intelligence : ULTIMATE GENIUS (165)

Weapon Set
Purple Sticky Hand
Downsize!
Greater Healing Scroll
Patched Magic Hat
Honey Potion
Ice Club
Scuzzys Comb
Goo Blaster

Money
Bank: 1,546,504 Neopoints
Stock: 87,000 Neopoints
Daily Income: 5K per day?
Bank Interest: 467 Neopoints per day

I use 15,000 Neopoints to buy 1,000 cheap stocks per day.

Training
Pet Laboratory Ray daily
Might start to use Terror Trove Scratchcards
Might start to use Mystery Island Training School again

I only do 1-player battles, mainly Defenders of Neopia and wars.  Currently at mission 11 of Snow Beast and looking for a set to defeat him that is not too expensive.  It'll take a while as I have not found him yet.

Some Ideas
1. Train defence to make my shield useful.
2. Go all offensive and ignore defence.
3. Sell Goo Blaster and get a 13-iconer.
4. Train like mad because the set is good enough.

Looking for some advice from anyone.  Thank you in advance.
I personally don't like any of the 11 iconers except portable kiln, and that one I only like in 2-p.
I'd say sell the goo blaster, and when you have enough NPs, upgrade to WoR/BoD. But for the moment, you can keep training using the lab ray, terror trove scratchcards (you're waaaay behind on levels) and do cheap (less than 6k) kitchen quests. You can do up to 10 k-quests per day and you get an average of 3.5 stats (hp, str, def, agility, lvl) per day if you do all 10 quests.
To beat the snow beast, getting the 125 str boost would be very helpful (200 would be even better) and doing k-quests/labbing every day will help you achieve that.

When your stockmarket portfolio gets bigger, your average daily income will also increase, which will allow you, in time, to upgrade your set. But for now, I think you should focus on training, especially since you do mainly 1-p battling.
So how about saving up for now, wait until I have about 2 million Neopoints and then sell the Goo Blaster for Wand of Reality or Bow of Destiny? If I sell the Goo Blaster now, my offense is really weak. I'm now back up to level 40 and have 60 defence.

The Portable Kiln is nice, but only for 2-player, which I don't do much of.
I second the third and first idea.

A reminder : DON'T let your HP pass 240 . By then you'll have to pay 6 codestones per course and having lengthy training time. Stop labbing when you have 236 HP or more.

Good ideas, and thoughts.

For now, I would recommend looking into a winged scarab, until your defense grows a few more boosts.  It is one of the great 'inverse' weapons, you take damage based on your defence boost, while reflecting damage to them based on their strength boost.  You can get a LOT more wins on don opponents heavy into physical icons.

Once you gain boosts, you will notice more damage coming from the Winged Scarab, it will come a time that you have outgrown its huge value.  Sell it then, you should break even or make a profit.  Then you can get either a dual weapon such as Mask of Coltzan, or go more offensive with Bow of Destiny or Wand of Reality if you can afford them .. Play nq2 through insane if you haven't done so.

Other steps to consider along the way, Sword of Apocalypse is a handy stepping stone until you get to the 13 icon NQ2 weapons, and Ring of the Lost is Very solid against opponents heavily into dark icons.

Train, Train, Train.. do cheap kitchen quests, I define cheap as 1/4 of the cost of your average training.  If you don't already have just one pet, it is highly advantageous to get there soon if you intend on having a battle gifted pet.

I hope some of this helps in a small way.

ah, I just noticed.. your pet is lvl 39.. I would make getting to level 50 a priority, so tt sc, and coltzans and training will help a lot. I will think Light Faerie quest thoughts for you as well.
So you suggest that I get full blockers right now, with Winged Scarab to begin with. Which weapon should it replace?
your best option would be to go offensive... in order to raise your defence, you would first have to gain about 70 levels, which just isnt worth the financial output. winged scarab, as mentioned, can be worth it, but i personally dont see so much physical so that i would have to use up one of two slots for it. =/ with 1.5 mil or so to upgrade i would replace the pmh with a jittery jipple potion (it has been pretty confirmed that the jittery does 10 icons in 2player, if that is what you prefer), and take out the purple sticky hand; most battlers take measures to make sure their first slot isnt vital to their set. Basically, your goal is to maximize your offensive capabilities, so you want to have a large range of icons... i would upgrade scuzzys comb to an rsb for the dark... and also, a steaming skeem potion--which apparently does from 8-11 icons in 2p--has some very hard to block icons, so my final advice would be:

Downsize!
Greater Healing Scroll
Jittery Jipple Potion
Honey Potion
Ice Club
Scuzzys Comb
Goo Blaster
Steaming Skeem Potion

and you would have spent only 350k or so... there's not much left to upgrade until you hit the 13 icon weps, so best to save and invest whats left or spend it on training.
Eh, Argulor864, I don't do much 2-player. I mainly focus on 1-player but thanks for the advice. I would disagree with taking out the Purple Sticky Hand. It has helped me a lot back then when I did 2-player, stealing Bow of Destiny, Ramtors Spellbook and other weapons which eventually helped me beat my opponent.
Unless you plan on someday reaching the 700 DEF or plan on playing some 2p, don't bother with defense. Since your opponents STR constantly increase they eventually overwhelm you shields to the point that they are not doing much.

Right now the only things that I see you being able to do are upgrade to another 11 iconer and eventually to WoR/BoD, and buying any full or percentage blockers or reflectors and train as has been suggested in the other posts.

Prickly potion might be useful on some opponents, but run the math to be sure before you use it.

overall your set is pretty good, and I would probably just train like mad, and if you start making more per day to the point where you can make your training costs for the day then you can upgrade your weapons
Okay, since I seem to be having different options here as to whether I should train defence or not, I made a poll. Please vote on whether you think I should or should not train defence. I haven't been too active on Neopets lately, so my current stats are:

Species : Uni
Level : 41
Health : 229 / 229
Strength : LEGENDARY (100)
Defence : AWESOME (60)
Move : AWESOME (76)
Intelligence : ULTIMATE GENIUS (165)

I have 1,495,114 NP in my bank and 38,000 Neopoints in the Stock Market. I get 451 Neopoints interest per day from the bank and still get approximately the same amount of income.

I shall once again reinforce the fact that I do 1-player battles for wars and Defenders of Neopia only right now. I might consider to start joining leagues, but I'm not sure how they work just yet.
about the stock market, do you buy the maximum 1k shares per day @ 15 per share (costs you 15k per day)
the stock market is one of th easiest way to make NPs, so you should buy shares everyday

as for training, you should train using the lab and k-quests, as it is much cheaper than training school
I wouldn't worry about going over 240 hp since you won't be training much using codestones either way
if you want to beat the snowbeast, you'll need more str and hp - def is not that important if you only want to get that single win for the trophy
