Hey everyone.It's Resident Evil again.
I've kinda always been a spender in my Neopets career.(Back when I was a n00b,I spent 150k on an Icetravaganza SC. Those were the good ol' days.) However recently (okay, around a year ago)I started to check out the Battledome. It was interesting, so I jumped in.
But now, I need to start making upgrades to my Battledome stuff, and train my pet further. So I went looking for more ways to make points. I didn't find any. So now, to the members of IDB, I ask thee:

What are a couple of good ways you've made money in the past?

I'm currently playing NQII, in the hopes of getting a good weapon, but I despise Food Club and Stock Market. So don't suggest those. I've participated in plots recently, and I've got a ToW book in my SDB that I'm going to sell in around two years once prices start to inflate. That's a long way off though. So I need help.
Thanks in advance,
Mr Ketchup.
It amuses me that you despise two of the easiest ways to make big NP -- ways that require the least amount of time, I might add! Those are my big moneymakers, but I'm good at games, too, so I participate in World Challenges and sell the three WC pieces I earn per day for around 10-15k each (and some of the rarer pieces for 50-75k). If you're good at games, that's a possibility. Plots are of course good (when the prizes are decent, anyway, which is rare), and you've already thought of NQII. Other than that... restock or become a reseller, I guess.
The Stock Market is really easy, and requires no actual thought. Just buy 1k of a stock you see at 15, every day. Continue to accumulate stocks, and once each hits a predetermined selling point (for example, the selling point I go by is 60), then sell it for immense profit. It requires a maximum of about 10 seconds a day.
GIR,I know I sound like an idiot for not liking the Stocks, but trust me, I had a horrible expierence.....well, let's not go there.
Cranberry, your thinking is true. I already play 4 games thrice daily for 3k each game. They are Eye of the Storm, Flycatcher, The Castle Of Eliv Thade, and Evil Fuzzles from Beyond The Stars.
I also do Wiz-Sniping, mostly for Codestones and lower end BD equipment(Heck, I once found a PMH for 1600 NP on the Super Wiz). And I'm planning on playing NQII twice on Evil and once on Insane.

Any other ways anyone can think of would be greatly appreitcated.

There's absolutely no way to lose NP in the stock market, as long as you only buy at 15, and are patient enough to wait until the stock rises. Every stock does eventually rise, it just requires time.

Well, you can lose NP if a stock goes bankrupt, but that is incredibly rare, and if you've diversified your portfolio, it's not a big issue. GIR's right -- it can be as simple as buy at 15, sell at 60 (or 45, if you're impatient). As long as you don't go selling stocks for less than you paid, you can't lose. You just need patience.
Alright. I give in. I'm gonna go buy a stock right now.

EDIT: NO WAY. I bought a stock of TPEG a while back, to see if I could get anything out of it. It's now at 18k. What a great deal.
TNPT is 15 right now, and a good one.

Keep these two links:

Damn It!!! I forgot how the stock market works. I just accidentally sold both stocks I had for only a 3k increase over what I bought them for. Oh well, I'll have to buy again tomorrow.
Tomato, would you mind sharing your experience with the Stock Market? Hopefully it's not as bad as mine was.

Back when I was a newbie on Neo (in September of '04) TNAH was around 130 or so (I could check NeoDaq for the actual figures, but I recall most of this on memory alone), and I stupidly thought it worked like the real Stock Market. So when I saw TNAH plummeting, I poured money into it (no idea how much, in hindsight, but I know it went down into the 20's). Mid-November, that account got frozen. I think it was in January or so that TNAH spiked to over 300. I don't know what I would have sold at, but I missed out on a chance of becoming a newbie (and idiot) millionaire off of sheer dumb luck. It kept me out of doing Stocks for about a year, even though I knew they were a good idea.

Right now, I've been doing Stocks for a year and four months, and for the last three months or so I've been averaging just under 2 million profit per month (selling at 55). It's slow-going at first, and you'll need to have something around 500K to be able to put into it at first, but over the long-term it's worth it. Food Club is definitely a slower route, but both just require a few extra clicks each day.

I'm going to recommend against NQII, except for the Insane prize. I don't think Evil averages enough profit anymore. Then again, if you can put up with it, and enjoy it enough, go ahead. I'd rather put more time into other games that show immediate and guaranteed profit, rather than counting on not getting shafted on my prize at the end of the game.

Those are really your only options. Games, restocking, sniping, trading, Stocks, and Food Club. Malling's the last option, but I doubt you have the 22 mil or whatever it's currently costing to get started.
I personally sell at 20k, people tell me this is stupid - but I guess I need the money faster for training anyway...
