I just started my account—I'm looking to improvement my intermediate Battledome Set.

Name : Scrybe
Species : Kougra
Level : 9
Current HP: 16
Attack Strength : 13
Defence Strength : 11

Here's my current Battledome Set:
Attack: Defense: Abilities:
  • Heal
  • Fiery Gaze
Budget you have to spend: 50K A Day

SDB Weapons: None

Do you play mostly 1P or 2P battles?: 2P

Training Methods: Dubloons

Are there any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
# Sword of the Dead 5 Light Defense
# Cloudy Wand of Storms 3 Earth Defense / Frozen Wand of Crystals 3Water_def / Scuzzys Comb
# Scarab Ring 3Fire_def 3Physical_def
# Golden Compass 2.6Darkness Defense
# Snowglobe Staff
# Leaf Shield
# Downsize!
# Blue Scorchstone

Choose SC if you want a constant attacker.

In this way , you can block 5 types of icons which is very good. You may want to replace the shield for a wand . Then you are pretty invincible against any attack except the hard to block air.

The total cost is about 400k which you can achieve within half a month.
I think I'd rather go for a constant attacker considering I have leaf shield. Are Jittery Jipple Potion and Steaming Skeem Potion suitable replacements for Ice Club, or would it be better to invest in the Scuzzy's Comb? I mainly play 2P.
in 2p, the new potions are as good as the SC
it just depends on what opposition you're planning to face
the 5 physical icons of the SC are fairly easy to block, so it might be worse than those new weapons (I know one deals air/dark while the other deals water/fire and something else)
How about this?
Sword of the Dead
Jittery Jipple Potion
Scarab Ring
Golden Compass
Snowglobe Staff
Leaf Shield
Downsize!
Blue Scorchstone
And a Purple Sticky Hand in your SDB.Wink
-EDIT-I didn't know about Jittery Jipple Potion doing 10 icons in 2-Player.
Woah, people! Wait! He earns 30k a day, and his stats are barely there to make any impact even with stronger weapons!

So my immediate recommendation is to TRAIN.

The Jittery Jipple Potion and Steaming Skeem Potion are pretty new weapons. I won't rush out to get them yet until the prices stabilizes to what it was meant to be. But Golden Compass and Amulet of Inevitable Betrayal are good choices to have. Still, my training advice still sticks.

It is unfortunate that your pet species do not have any weapons that is worth purchasing, though. Otherwise, I would immediately recommend placing it at your first slot as an anti-stealer.
28paolo, please don't just post a list of weapons without explaining why. We like for advice-givers to explain their selections so the people we're advising know why they should listen to us. Wink

Incognito, a sub-20-boost pet is beginner, not intermediate, but your current set is already quite nice for your level. Smile I'm with CadaverGrey, though... train, constantly. It'll do more for you than any of the suggested weapons will.
Ya lol , I forgot to mention training Big Grin
Put training as your priority. If you can save some NP while training , go with those weapons suggested Smile

I totally agree with Cadavergrey. Train to the 35 boosts, maybe (probably) even 55 boosts. From there you'll want a Greater Healing Scroll (if 55 boosts and you keep your hp relative to your other stats) and Downsize! and Snowglobe Staff should stay. Then you can cut out the Jade Staff for something like a Golden Compass and the Earth Faerie Slingshot for something like one of the new weapons or Scuzzys Comb. From there you would probably wanna change your Ice Club to a Stone Club so you have a weapon that you aren't doing water with. You may wanna trade out your Leaf Shield or Scarab Ring (whichever you find more useless, lol) for an Amulet of Inevitable Betrayal or Sword of the Dead as light defense will probably be more helpful at the 55 boosts. So, here's the short form:

Train to 55 boosts
Get this set, in this order:

Snowglobe Staff -->have
Downsize! -->have
Blue Scorchstone -->Greater Healing Scroll
Jade Staff -->Golden Compass
Earth Faerie Slingshot -->New weapon or Scuzzys Comb
Ice Club -->Stone Club
Scarab Ring -->keep or replace with SotD, AoIB, etc...
Leaf Shield -->keep or replace with SotD, AoIB, etc...

That will cost about 300k give or take 100k depending on if Golden Compass keeps going down in price, which light blocker you choose, if you pick SC or one of the new weapons (who knows what price they will settle too) and if the clubs will continue to rise in price.

That will atleast get you started in intermediate battling (55 boost is intermediate, right? Rolleyes)
Thanks for the helpful advice! What do you guys think of my updated set? I'll continue training as much as possible, but in the meantime, I also want a well-balanced set. I'm not sure what the best dual-duty light defense is for my budget. Which is better? Thief Dagger, Amulet of Inevitable Betrayal, Ethereal Sword, Sword of the Dead, or the Frozen Wand of Crystals + Patched Magic Hat combo?
I vote (and personally use) thief dagger. And for versing a spellbook I use golden compass. I'd say any one of the first 4 is ok, but I don't like the FWoC+PMH combo.
