:cool:What games for the Wii do yuo think are the best?I'm getting a Wii soon and I want to know what games are really good/fun.
The Wii-Zelda Postulate Wrote:If you own a Wii, you must own Zelda.

But besides that, I currently own:

-Trauma Center: SO. I like it quite a bit, it's quick enough (The longest missions have a 10 minute limit, and typically, they won't eat all of the time), and it is intense enough to satisfy a gaming craving. They have difficulty levels on this version too, so the learning curve isn't as bad as it was in the DS version.

-Wii Sports. Granted, you will already have this when you get your Wii.

-Wii Play. I really got it for the free Wii Remote, and if you look at it that way, you basically get a free game along with it. The game's patterns don't really change and the different activities (It's like Wii Sports in that you have a bunch of minigames constituting the game), but I like playing it when I can't be bothered to stand up and play Wii Sports or deal with the intensity of either Trauma Center or Zelda.

Hope that helps. Toungue
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is going to be an amazing game. I'm going to be extremely tempted to buy a Wii once that's released.
its true, if you own a wii, you must own a zelda(um um, twiligtth princess maybe?)
I've only played the Wii Sports and I have to say that the Tennis is pretty realistic, the bowling seems too easy for me, other than that, the rest of the games seems fine to me.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl is said to be good. Red Steel is pretty good, but it's long.
As long as Super Smash Bros. Brawl is like the N64 or gamecube versions, it's gonna be one of the best wii games. Other good game could be
Mario Strikers Charged Football, with online playing. Oh, and "No more heroes" trailers look weird but cool.

Red Steel is not that good, in my opinion.
We have a slightly different available games list in the UK, so these might not be out but...

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz - Alright if you like puzzle games, but frustrating and unnecessary. HOWEVER - Mini games a go go! 50, in fact. And while some are a bit too reminiscent of wii sports (Monkey Baseball and Monkey Boxing) There are a few gems hidden in there (Monkey Wars is almost a game in it's own right, reminiscent of Mario Kart battle actually)

Warioware: Smooth moves - So so so so much fun! Really simple, but challenging nonetheless, it also has cool little cartoons on either side of each challenge

Wii Sports - Good, I wouldn't choose to buy it though, despite how much fun two player boxing is.

Wii Play - Essential for getting to grips. Also, you WILL want an extra controller (Get a nunchuck to go with it though)

Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess - Like everyone has said, you need to own this. min 60 hours playtime, a good buy. Really engaging gameplay, brilliant controls, great story.
Super Paper Mario looks like it may actually be interesting, though not as good as a true Paper Mario game would be.

Still, the main things I'm waiting for are Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Zelda, Zelda, Zelda, Zelda.
Nuff said.

there are rumors flying that guitar hero 3 is coming out on the wii!!!!
I will be running to the store if that is true. Toungue

I also have Wii Sports and Wii Play. Good games if you need/want a break from Zelda or if you want to let your significant other play from time to time (hahah...yes I hog Zelda muhaahahha).

Yup, GH3 is coming for the Wii. I'm waiting for Corruption, Brawl, and Galaxy.
