There are many outdated prices like
Amulet of Inevitable betrayal priced at 225k-375k but it's actually buyable!
I've got an idea. We can collaborate with 'ImproveNeo' . They provide items which are buyable daily and has trend graphs for every item buyable. A successful example is 'Neoitems.net'
Any thoughts?
After all that crap that went down with Improveneo, I'd be reluctant to suggest anyone partner with it. We raters have been entering prices as we go. It's not too hard for people to do a shop wiz/trades search for now, anyway.
I've got another question: How do you guys determine the price range that you always see? Some of them are really weird, like 1.633M - 2.367M. Where does that come from?
In stats, we would do a 95% confidence interval, but that's way too time consuming.
VermontHermit uses a 20% range. I actually haven't entered any prices yet, myself, but that sounds like a good way to price. I'm not sure how the other raters do it.

Well, it depends for some items. Typically, I chance the range around. For example, on something like Sword of Skardsen, or anything with a really set-in-stone price, the range is usually low. Right now, it's set at 4%.
However, something else that has a larger range in market value could be anywhere from 10-25%, it all depends. Just common sense judgement, really, no complicated math. I don't think anyone would want to find the standard deviation of market prices.

The price range is determined by a % that is entered. i usually put around 10% as that is plenty. It is a 25% per defult which is a little high. We are entering prices as we go but we have a lot of work at IDB. Fixing all the origins, fixing the prices, fixing the top pets list, Updating weapons, rating weapons. I know some people are fixing articles plus we have the rater applications going on. It is getting done. Just not at a really fast pace.
Let us know if you find anything else with the site. The more you help us find the little mistakes the more we can do to make to improve IDB
