Species Ability Research Phase 3

The species abilities reported on IDB have never been systematically confirmed. Two phases of research have confirmed some of the levels these abilities are acquired and what their effects are; however, our information is still incomplete. I am conducting a final phase of this research to verify the effects we report on IDB and pinpoint the level each species ability is learned.

I greatly appreciate your help in this effort. Please read all of the instructions here before submitting your data. The info we still need is reported below.

To send your info, please submit it to me (reiksguardknight) by one of the following methods:

Please use the following format to report your info:

• Pet Name
• Pet Species
• Pet Level
• Species Ability #1 (name and what it does)
• Species Ability #2 (name and what it does)
• Species Ability #3 (name and what it does)
• Neopets Username to give credit to (or put 'anonymous' to have your username kept private)
  

Here is an example following this format:

• Tighmaevril
• Eyrie
• Level 40
• Eyrie Scratch 1-2 physical
• Eyrie Dive 2 air and 2 light
• Eyrie Glare 2 dark and 3 fire
• Reiksguardknight
  

Please send us info for all your pets if you can. We need info for each species and each ability. If your pet doesn't have all 3 abilities, yet, just let us know about the ones you do have. Also, if you pet doesn't have any species abilities, you can also send us that info, and it will still help us. Try to test each ability as much as possible. In addition, if your pet changes levels, you can send us info at the new level for us to see how the abilities change.

At the moment, we are extending the research to last until we have all the info we need for each species to complete this research. Please help us finish this as quickly as possible. In addition, we'll keep a list of the contributors to this research in this article. A summary of the research and the list of contributors will be recorded in an IDB article when the research is over.

Methodology:
As I receive neomails, I record the abilities available for your pet's species and level in a spreadsheet. When two widely different levels have the same set, it fills in the gaps between them. For example, I knew gelerts have all three of their abilities at level 25, and someone sent info saying they have all three at level 20. I could then fill in levels 21-24 with the same information. To track what the abilities do, I record the most reliable reports on IDB (or report them to an IDB admin) and adjust the information as more reliable information becomes available. Since I'm not testing every species at every level myself, I cannot guarantee 100 percent accuracy. However, this research would not be possible in a reasonable timeframe without a lot of people testing.
