Quote:Notes:
Your team will be completely healed after each battle. After every 10 fights, you can go back to the base of the mountain and if you've defeated the area leader, you can skip ahead to the next area so you do not have to fight the previous trainers all over again.

Once complete you can pick One Of Three Pokémon

That sounded like I could leave with no hitch. bah...if I really have to go 100 non stop, then I don't mind. When I did my first 40, I was just trying to purify my Golduck. =P My team just needs to be level 70+ to do it fully. Though I think I'll stick to my beat down team of Flygon and Tyranitar. =D
Never had a Flygon till now and a Tyran since Silver.
Never been one to use OU pokemon to win, but X-D is limited. =/ I don't get my favs of Exploud, Yanma, and Sneasel. I have to buy the pervious game to get them...stupid.

Man, I miss my shiny Nidoking.

I have gain great respect to Ariados after X-D.
Huh. How reliable is that source? I'm pretty sure in some in some gamefaq FAQs about XD, they specifically mention that you can't leave the mountain to gain the starter, because so many people were wondering about that.
Hmm... When I cleared Mt. Battle twice, since I'd already received Totodile from Emerald, I went 100 non-stop. I'd beaten much of the game already so there wasn't much else to do anyway. Not too hard really, I'm ashamed to say I breezed through it with an exploder backed by a Follow Me/Swords Dance duo. So I'm not too sure what the conditions are for getting the starter, but I've got the Prima Official Game Guide for the game so I'll go check...

Seems the only condition for receiving the starter is to use the same party of Pokemon in all 100 battles. Final trainer who gives you the starter also says something like "You cleared Mt. Battle entirely without changing your Pokemon once!" befor giving you the starter. No mention of whether or not you can leave after every 10 battles. I wouldn't chance it, in any case, 100 battles is a lot, whether or not you employ cheap tactics. Said game guide was absolutely useless when it came to beating the game though, outside of giving me a few good laughs. I quote: "Poison-type Pokemon are the challenge in this battle. Use Poochyena, Houndour or Umbreon; these Pokemon have Dark-type attacks that are super-effective against Purpsix's team." XD

IVs on the starters I received from XD are pretty horrible though. Anyone know if there's any way to reset for better IVs on these guys? Since you get it right after the 100th trainer, I couldn't figure out a way. Amd I actually kept Blast Burn on my now fully-levelled Typhlosion, since it works somewhat well as a finisher with the boosts from Blaze, Petaya & possibly even SD.
The quote is from Serebii's site.

Bah...ok, if I have to restart, oh well. I'm making sure I bring Shadow Lugia with me now. One of the highest level shadow pokemon in the game.
Anyways, I decided to take GIR's advice and bought FireRed, since it's just easier that way.

So I can provide Charmanders & Eevees soon. Ohmy I'm going to be breeding lots.

Wait, Serebii's? Weird... I swear that's where I first heard that you HAD to do it in one sitting... I could be wrong...

Don't know how useful Lugia will be with the later battles. Sure, it's level 50, but then again, you're going to be up against level 70 pokemon. Shadow or not, there's going to be some trouble there.
I would love to play D/P, but I'm a miser so I will wait till I can borow it off Matt, or maybe if an emulator comes out, I will got to someones house who has a graphics card X|
Bwahhahaha. Diamond came in early for me. I ordered from Amazon, and it was supposed to arrive on Tuesday the 24th, but somehow came today one day early. Big Grin *runs off to play*
Lol, American version=ripoff, I just knew nintendo would take something out, and they did, the 3 most awsomest pokemon evar! BB Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus =(
Hardly a ripoff.

Playing in English > struggling in Japanese while having 3 extra pokemon which can be obtained through trading anyways. Toungue

Anyways, research tells me that it's obtained through a glitch anyways.
Heh, but the thing is, you can't get them, as japanese that use the GTS use voice chat to decide, and if you do 1 wrong move they ignore you Ohmy
