(Speaking of old threads, I'm half-tempted to bump that Digimon one due to recent experiences on my part.)

I haven't even played very much of DP. Apparently the Deoxys event was back when it was released? (If I'm remembering right?) I'm glad Nintendo is managing this event better than the Manaphy one in September: two days, an extra hour each day... it's not perfect, but that's a lot more convenient.

I've not been on DP much. Brawl, MKWii, MapleStory.

^Deoxys Event at Gamestop. It will be occurring on the 20th - 22nd and the 27th - 29th. The times have not yet been announced.


Can someone confirm for me whether or not there was a prior Deoxys Event shortly after the release of DP? The advertisement says "first time on the DS" but I swear I remember hearing that Deoxys had already been given away during the DP era.

Pokemon Platinum is comeing. How much different can they make it?

The third game in the generation is never groundbreaking. I'd say Yellow was more of a change over its predecessors than Crystal/Emerald were (Pikachu following you around ftw). How they're going to weave Giratine into the main story will be interesting to see though (Cyrus looking to command an army of the undead rather than pressing a reset button for the world this time? ).

I sort of emmmm... Killed my game with an action replay 'cuz a friend showed me walk everywhere and I loved it. Until I did something with wireless with it and now all the NPCs are dead and I'm stuck haunting the upper floor of the Pokemon Center forever. Moral: Laziness + Learning about walk everywhere h@x = not good. =P

And you saved after that?

Toysrus Dragonite

On November 8th and 9th (two weekends from now), from noon to 4, at Toysrus (presumably in the US), a Level 50 Dragonite with Outrage, Dragon Dance, Thunderbolt, and Draco Meteor that is holding a Yache Berry will be given away.

... is this Dragonite actually worth bothering with? For that matter, can Dratini be gotten in DP alone? I'm still sitting halfway through Diamond with no desire to play it.
