Did you want one? It's a Fire Red slot exclusive and Butterfree has compound eyes for better item hunting. Used one to get me one of them Lucky Eggs off wild Chansey
Matt, your team is finished? Want to battle me?

Nah, I was just shocked that anyone would want to breed Caterpies.
I use Yanma for item hunting, one of the rejects I bred with awful IVs that didn't make the grade for evolution, heh.
It's not finished to my liking, lol. As of right now, it's a Memento-Belly Drum combination, with the rest of the team filler (boring standard stuff like DDGyara & CBChomp). I made something of a name for myself on the RSBots using weird sets/pokes, so I want to stay true to that. Horrifyingly enough though, said filler team's been demolishing teams left and right when I did the rounds on Serebii... I've been splitting my attention between all of the teams I want to build, along with building my sister's team (Clefable ftw!) and restarting/blasting through the game to amass TMs/Master Balls. But since I just got out of school...
Edit: Wrong punctuation used, heh.

I haven't in forever, but I now remember an old build I wanted to take down that impossible opponent. That strange green thing that was rare and psychiic from the beginning or ruby/sapphire and a koffing to give it a move that killed itself along with destiny bond. I'd also have psychiic and another move.

Here's my team so far:
Staraptor - This is the one I used during the game, so it's not specially EV or IV trained (it is maxed out in EVs though). I'll probably replace it with one that is trained better somewhere down the line. I call it a suicide sweeper because it uses Brave Bird and Close Combat. Also has Intimidate.
Abomasnow - Again, used this during the game. Has low base stats, maxed out EVs (they should be pretty balanced). Automatic hail + Blizzard is amazing, and Wood Hammer is good against Water Pokemon.
Luxray - This is probably my worst Pokemon out of the four I use for Battle Tower. It has Thunder Fang and Charge, along with Crunch and Thunder. Charge is especially good when I use Surf because it increases Sp. Def, and Thunder is a last-resort move (two Thunder Fangs do WAY more than Thunder). Has Intimidate.
Empoleon - Surf and Brine are awesome, but I found out the hard way (losing Battle Tower #28) that it is severely lacking in non-Water moves. It has Steel Wing, which is OK, but I would really like a better Steel-type move. Also has Blizzard to take advantage of Abomasnow's endless Hail.
What I really need right now is something to combat Electric-types. I narrowly lost my last battle in the Battle Tower because I had trouble with a Magnezone/Electivire combo. Maybe I need to find one of those berries that decreases the power of Electric-type moves.

Flash Cannon get Steel STAB and runs off of Empoleon's vastly greater Special Attack, if another STAB attack is what you're after. I'm not too sure if I'd recommend it though, Empoleon has better things to so besides all-out attacking, which is what your entire team seems to be built to do, on that note I'd question the use of two water attacks on Empoleon.
Luxray is really meh. Its movepool is just awful, and it's really slow by Electric standards. 120 base Attack is wasted when your STAB options are 65 base. My sister insisted on getting one trained though, so I threw together an Attract/Rivalry abuser. Best I could make out of Luxray, lol.
Abomasnow resists Electric and has the Defenses to take hits, so I don't see where you're having problems. It learns Earthquake if you're really desperate, heh. Now that EQ's a buyable TM, I've been very liberal in my use.
Anyway, does anyone else feel that the Battle Tower's difficulty level's been scaled down from previous games? No Sheer Cold Walrein@Quick Claw or Rest/SleepTalk/SheerCold/HornDrill Lapras@Leftovers to mess me over thus far.

It gets harder in later levels. Empoleon was owned by a Double Team/Sheer Cold/Horn Drill Lapras@Leftovers earlier.
I think Brine and Surf are different enough that they justify having two Water moves. If it were something like Brine and Water Pulse, it would be different.
Oh, and Abomasnow was owned by a Garchomp's Flamethrower in that battle.

I'll agree with Matt, Luxray is pretty lame. Its movepool isn't too great and it's slow. The only reason I got a Luxray was for having 3 different fangs + Crunch just to be able to say that my Luxray bites.

Ok, question... How does hail boost Blizzard? It didn't in RSE, but I'm suspecting that changed... any changes to sandstorm, either?

Ouch. I see Game Freak still likes tossing hax machines at us in the Battle Tower. Guess I've just been lucky thus far to not run into any. Then again, QC abusers are the only real threats, given that stuff like that Lapras can be stomped on quickly and gotten rid of.

Thing is, having two offensive moves of the same type often becomes redundant, no matter how different the effect. When that happens, you'll find yourselved wishing you had something else in its place. (In Empoleon's case, Grass Knot or Stealth Rock, perhaps) Then again, Empoleon's movepool IS pretty bad so...
Special Garchomp. Go Nintendo.

LOL *bares fangs*

Hail makes Blizzard 100% Accuracy. 120 base 100% Acc. Says it all, really. Until Tar or that big hippo switches in, of course.

Finally, those two moves are useful
T-tar seems rather broken now, though, what with physical Crunch and Taunt's upgrade...
