Any advice? Because I feel kind of lost after I bought myself a golden compass and I have lab map!
Stop labbing now. Training is the best option now. REALLY the best. Train in the acedemy on krawk island. if you have balanced your stats , start labbing. Don't let your stats get unbalanced. If they're too far away from each other ( 3 pts + ) , stop labbing until you've fixed it up. Also be careful of the Dubloon-margin . Don'e get pass level 10 until you have all your stats at 20. Don't get pass level 20 until you have all your stats at 40 and so on.
After you trained your HP , str , def (maybe movement also) to 55 , you can start buying some good weapons.
Do you do 1p or 2p , or both? This affact the advice greatly.
I can understand feeling lost, you get up a little and then you discover that wasn't a peek, but just a foothill and that once your up there, the view covers so much more.
But lets see what dirrection your moving in?
I think it's a little early to risk the lab on this one yet, oters will have other opinions, but I like to take the level up to atleast beserk before risking the lab (50).
Train in as many ways as you can stand. I recomend dubloons before you go to bed or if your not going to be there to start a codestone training immediatly. If it's going to take longer then it needs to, then you should save the np and use the dubloon. If this is the only pet on the acount, you might concider doing a kitchen quest or two, but not serrously yet, only the cheepest ones are a net gain for you at this point, but you might remember that for latter.
Dirrection...
Are you going to be batteling two player, one player, some of both?

Too late, hp is at 21, level has to go to 11 before str can be caught up at dubloon school.

Then lab to see if the ray will level the level down. Don't let HP pass 36 thou! (otherwise lab may push you with 5 HP and you will be in 5-dub area)
so its bad to lab? Here's my pet. I've been zaping him for a while.
Level : 4
Current hp: 207/207
Attack: 84
Defense: 12
hmm... yup i think im screwed...
Antidirtycloud, maybe you would like set advice yourself by posting another topic.
Back to cherrybonie, don't lab. Stop labbing for now. Take your strength and defence to the limits of the Krawk Island Swashbuckling Academy of 80. Don't train level or health because you would then have to pay more than you need to. Two shields is unnecessary. Get a
Purple Sticky Hand instead. Put this in your first slot as an anti-steal weapon for 2-player. Get rid of
Illusens Potion as it really does suck. Get a
Honey Potion instead. Also get
Scuzzys Comb with the remaining of your money. Now save up to train until the 85 boosts for strength and defence. You can train level at the Krawk Island Swashbuckling Academy as well, until level 40, which means you can then train at the Mystery Island Training School straight away. Your new set:
Purple Sticky Hand
Downsize!
Leaf Shield
Lesser Healing Scroll
Snowglobe Staff
Honey Potion
Scarab Ring
Scuzzys Comb
Thanks for the advice!
Just to let you all know that I play both 1p and 2p although I thought 2p is more fun than 1p and I've already started to train at the Krawk's school, and now my level is...3 and I'm also thinking of creating another pet and continue using Cafflebone for labbing so as to not waste my lab map. I'll focus on training my new pet using the Krawk now but ya...the health points is too high, it is starting to get unbalanced.
and oops, I typed the wrong weapon, it is not Illusen's potion, it is Illusen's earth potion
So is a purple sticky hand really that good?
Purple Sticky hand is not an awesome weapon. It is an "awesome for the price weapon" It has a high chance of stealing, and stealing can be a key strategy against many 1p opponents. And since the Purple Sticky Hand is very common it sells for under 2,000 NP
yup! good old Advent Calender made it so cheap
