these two^^ are the most money per point ratio..
so, i have 28220 pts.. i could buy 35 books, then i'd have 220 pts left. theoretically sell them all at the current price, and rake in 448k np...

how static have these prices been?

note:::: ANYONE feel free to update these, i found acouple great deals along the way (Spirit of Slumber Plushie for 1k!)
mercurius Wrote:Well, if the weapons stay the way they are, which ones will you guys be buying (if any)?

I may buy the Accursed Mittens because makes just physical and i haven't beaten the Giant Ghostkerchief because his Prismatic Mirror. I know that there's a better option but this will be virtually free. I know the Opportunity cost concept.
Meh. Even if they don't upgrade them much, I'd at least like to see the cane or lamppost hit 7 or 8 icons. I'd say that's pretty fair considering most weapons that are 7-9 icons these days that they put out are just r88 and up. Sure, there would be a big flood all at once, but I wouldn't think making the lamppost 7 icons+what it blocks now would be too ridiculous. And the cane could easily be 8 and block a standard chunk of earth like it does now, and not be gamebreaking.

On the topic of Neoquest, I can actually run through evil pretty fast..I just get so bored with it. I have a short attention span, and point-and-click games wear on that real quick. That's really the big reason I don't get more from it to be honest. I understand the points that were made, but I still think that even with the mass amount of points given, the lamppost should net at least 6 icons in attack since it seems to be doing 5 now..and the cane should be 7 or 8 since its blockage is less. Just my opinion though, others might disagree.

I really hope we get an honest full on war sometime within the next six months. The puzzles are okay, but they've flooded them over the past few events. I'd like to see a standard war again. Even if the plot isn't all that hot. Even if I don't get enough points for jack, to be honest. I'd just like to fight long and hard like we used to.

maybe if I hypnotized TNT with my swirly eyes..Hypnotized
Thanks for the current POINT:NP ratio Kaniget, it helps a lot.

I would love a full on war too and hope the level of complaining re. the overloaded battledome in the Tale of Woe doesn't put TNT off.

Good luck with the swirly eyes! Wink
I think one of the reasons the prizes suck is because they were so easy to get. I only finished up to the 2nd potion and didn't bother with the rest but I still can get 2 lamposts.

I'm sure you are right firestorm - if they were planning to release a great weapon it should have been at least 30,000 points.

I'm probably going to go with books and paintbrushes to sell on and use the neopoints to work on my battle set.

Tale of Woe was our war. Twelve perfectly good Opponents, but TNT decided against leaving out the first six long enough for us to really enjoy them. That was completely stupid on their part, especially since they capped the win limit that counted for points.

I'm slightly ticked off that the loss limit was incorporated. It's something BDers have thought about for a long time, and a few fanatics have went with it, but the average BDer doesn't like taking that large of a hit to their record.
I know you are right Shattered Rift. Editorial #264 made me regret missing some of the earlier plots, but the past is past.

It will be good to continue to have some battle sections in some future plots. Now I just need to get my pet ready for the future! Innocent

Neopian Times #264 Wrote:This is a plot, and plots can include puzzles and battling (and whatever else we think of). There is no such thing as "only a puzzle" or "only a war" just because that's what they may have been in the past, so there is no clear definition of a war. Wink We'll put it this way... just about every site event/plot has been different. The first Meridell war introduced sides, and the second had limited opponents. Curse of Maraqua had both battlers and supporters, as well as ranks, and the Lost Desert Plot was mostly puzzle, but a win in the Battledome was needed to complete it. Altador had no battling at all. Every plot is new and different, so try to leave expectations behind and enjoy the event instead of dwelling on what you believe the rewards will be. Plots are not meant to be a horrible chore you must do in order to be rewarded. If you're not having fun, it's probably not worth it. Wink
My post had nothing to do with that statement from the Editorial. Rather, Curse of Maraqua had thirteen(?) Opponents each side could battle, and the Hannah and the Ice Caves War had ten(?) we could battle. (Someone confirm those numbers for me.) Here in the Tale of Woe, we got twelve (thirteen, if you want to include the Mayor, but he was unbeatable whereas previous War "bosses" haven't been.)

We'll be waiting a nice while before we see anything that even resembles a war again.
uh i think those weapons are horrible for a plot price. I should have made something more powerful than 6 icons

i think the pitchfork does 4-6 icons of water, earth, and fire

Q77modedit-plz do not double post, posts merged.
I'm so torn. I want to get the rusty lamppost for two reasons, because then i'll have the top prize and something to show for my accomplishments and because if it gets upgraded, hopefully it will be a good weapon. However right now, the reselling value is just so poor! It's such a worthless item! It's almost an embarrassment to TNT to offer such a piece of junk to the highest scorers.

Then again, if I skip the rusty lamppost, I can use the points for things with larger reselling value, such as the paintbrush and the top book. Then after selling them I could use the neopoints toward a weapon I DO want.

Have any of you redeemed your points yet?? If so, what is everyone getting? I need some advice. .
