My lab pet had 200 something strength, 80 defense, level ONE, and an obscene amount of hp. He was pure lab, and I wanted to start fresh, so I did!

Grey Jubjub:
Lvl: 19
Str: 22
Def: 25
Hp: 22/22

SET:
Ramtors Spellbook
Scuzzys Comb
Honey Potion
Blue Scorchstone
Snowglobe Staff
Leaf Shield

My current neopoint budget is 2 million. I don't make very much daily because I spend it all on codestone training and dont have much time to game/restock and since I started fresh my account isnt old enough to restock yet. My next upgrade should probably be a Ghostshield or Ghostbomb but I'll really have to start saving. What do you guys think?

PS: Please don't use abreviations... I'm coming back from a long leave from Neopets and am fairly unfamiliar with it all.
I think you should make training your main goal, and certainly at this point, I don't see any great rush to get a G-shield in particular, nor the G-bomb. Your Blue Scorchstone is fine for now, but as you train you'll be outgrowing it soon. The G-bomb is a FINE weapon, but your freezer is sub-par and you'd be better off getting a better freezer and using the Honey Potion/Ramtors on a frozen opponent than playing around with the Snowglobe Staff trying to set up the G-bomb. Your defense at the moment isn't strong enough to really make the G-shield a great investment, and you have other things to deal with, as well as training to continue. A Scarab Ring would be a good addition (Cheap and useful), and for situational use, a Purple Sticky Hand. In other words, I think training at this point is your best option and you have upgrades in freezing (and before long, healing) that will require funds. A Jade Staff might be another inexpensive addition to look at, but I'd stay away from the G-Bomb until you have a better freezer, and the G-Shield until you're farther along on training.
What better freezers do you have in mind? Should I just be going straight to H4000 Helm? Right now I'm using the lab so morphing to a Lenny and getting a Lasso probably wouldn't work, although it is very cost effective.

BTW, while we're on the subject, what doyou think about the lab ray? Worth it or not? Should I be using it or just go pure codestone training?

Thanks for the advice Smile
Ultimately you'll want the 100% freezer, and certainly before getting a G-bomb.   The only semi-meaningful intermediate step would be something like a Black Frost Cannon, which will give you 21% more freezes than the Snowball Staff, and is a bit more useful overall as an offensive weapon as it doesn't break, do nothing, or generate a yellow snowball.   It's A LOT of nps more than the Snowglobe Staff for the fairly small improvement in freezing and overall utility, but it's also A LOT cheaper than jumping to the H4000.   If you have the capabilities to save for a G-Bomb/G-Shield though, within a reasonable amount of time, unless you're going to immediately be fighting a fair number of important battles, I'd save for the 100% freezer and forget the Black Frost Cannon.   I agree that if you're labbing, morphing to a Lenny makes no sense for now.   If you're still in the same position at the end of training (hopefully FAR into the future), then it might.   In between DO check out what species weapons are available for whatever species your pet is at the moment.
As for the lab ray......I think it's it worth having, and have it myself.   But I also used it for awhile and then didn't use it for over two years, and now use it again.   It gives you VERY uneven training stats (as you've seen already), and should be used WITH codestone, random event and Kitchen Quest Training, and NOT as a sole means of training.   I think if you use the lab ray (which is GREAT for adding maximum hit points, and good for Strength and Agility, but mildly negative for Defense and HORRIBLE for levels), I'd concentrate on training levels (as needed) and defense at the Pirate Acadamy on Krawk Island or via codestones on Mystery Island (the first is cheaper, but takes longer), to keep my stats even, and to allow continued training at the schools.   Eventually the lab ray will usually lower your levels so low and  your hit points so high that you'll lose training ability at the schools until you buy a bunch of levels.   Anyway, overall, I think having the option to lab is worth it, though it can be frustrating and isn't a good way to train by itself.   And who knows, maybe it'll transform your pet into a Lenny with a colouring that you love and you can stop labbing for awhile and go back to non-lab training.
I'm way too tired to give detailed advice, but there's one quick thing I can say:

The xCombat petpage has a pretty decent list of acronyms for battledome gear

thank you thank you muchas gracias

EDIT: I bought a Black Frost Cannon... I stumbled on a guy asking for 425k .. I just offered 400k and got it... I'm pretty sure I can resell for 500k... but for now I'll use it Smile
Good for you! If you can use it while saving and at least get your money back out of it, you get an improvement for nothing, which isn't a bad thing!
Oh boy. Don't ask me how I got this, but I have another question about it. I stumbled upon a "Bogshot Village (TCG)." It's worth 6 million on trading post, but I have a fear that it will NEVER sell, and I mean never. What do you think? Will it ever sell? [Mega Rare - r107]
Sure it's gonna sell. And I'm not just being optimistic. There are HTS traders out there who will buy it. There are card collectors out there who will buy it. There are many people who would want it. You just have to wait a long time for a person who wants it.
