Well there was losing my first account to a scammer, that sucked. (it was 6 years ago that I lost it, I was 12.)
Then there was putting a lab ray on my main account.
Then there was, more recently, buying an MVC for 200k, only to have the prices drop like a ROCK towards V-Day. *grumble moan*
1. Trying to transfer a P-Kiln off of HappyChton during the Battle For Meridell Lag. That was about half of my total net worth at the time, lost to a glitch.
2. Falling for a scam where I took a "The Hikalikas Lamp" on an actual worthwhile weapon, because someone had monopolized them all and overpriced them on the TP.
3. Selling the Foil Slorg Stamp I won from a Lenny Conundrum at 1.4 million. It's at something like 18 mil last I looked.
4. Selling 3 Cloudy Wand of Storms at 85k each not 45 minutes before the first wave of Tale of Woe Opponents was released. They were over 150k within hours.
5. Overlabbing HappyChton without bothering to train to keep things even.
6. Deciding to start restocking with the item Illusen asked me for on her level 1 quest. I wasted a bunch of time here, but this ends well, as several thousand clay pot sales later I can boast that I am neopia's most succesful Tiki-Tack restocker.
I thought of another one today.
-Starting to restock 1 day before the system changed for good.

When I first got a shop, I didn't know about the shop wiz and priced things by Neopets "Estimated Value" when I clicked on the item in my inventory. Some things just NEVER sold, and lots were gone in seconds!

I made the same mistake... Remember selling spooky treasure maps which i got from random events for 1k+, which was the "estimated value".
A long time ago, the Neopets Team said that they were not allowing people to search for codestones on the Shop Wizard, temporarily, but I didn't catch that last part. I went on for months...maybe even a year...buying codestones at outrageous prices and not being able to actually price any codestones I found correctly. I was pretty new and fairly young at the time, not to mention a little slow (and still kind of am). I wasn't much of a battledomer at that time, neither. I spent (based on that time) a lot of neopoints on some kind of Staff or Rod of Nova. Or was it Supernova? I used it in the first Meridell War and it broke after about 11 Drackonacks. I was later frozen TWICE! Once for cheating...Once more for stupidity...Two Years waisted...one per account.
I tried to transfer a pet (200 str, 200hp) through the adoption agency.. when I put him down and tried to pick him up on my other account, it said my account wasn't old enough to adopt. LOL.
Bought a downsize power plus and tested it
It was when i was new. I thought it was multiple use and I did not know of the existence of Ttear.
I used the lab on my pet till his hp reached 160 and his level was still 20... Still correcting that mistake.
well, i've been scammed on the tp about 3 times...
and i used the first two mp's i got in random events.. boy i could have used an extra 500k back then.. sigh..
