Ok I as suffering from hoochie coochie - had a faerie quest saved up - then went into a 2 Player battle and it didn't register I was sick, - I then did thge quest tried battling again and was told my pet was in no condition to battle - Cool Aye?

For a two-player battle, if you get challenged and are sick, you can still fight. However, you can't challenge while sick.
