Which weapons should I upgrade on 85 STR and 85 DEF?  - *pokes siggy* also would it be a fantastic ide to purchase another healing potion or two? (THEY"RE SO POWERFUL!)
Fine... ok im gonna stop my whole anti-DEF thing - but im not happy about it! lol jj
I apologise if I am repeating anyone with what I am about to write but, let me try to give the simplest explanation possible.

Kit, do you plan on getting a powerful shield like Ghostkershield and/or Faerie Tabard eventually? If you do, then you have no choice but to train defence; they require defence for them to work at optimum level. If you rather go straight with percentage blockers and reflectors, then don't train defence. Use that money to train HPs and strength.

There is really nothing wrong with you not training your defence. It's just that if you don't train defence, it's better not to include any shields either becos to have little defence means your shields and dual duties will not effective.

Percentage blockers and reflectors are the best defence in the long run, true, but for now, you have to be realistic about the kind of budget and pet stats that you have currently. You cannot afford such weapons yet unless they are the fragile ones that disappears forever after a few uses, which means you will still end up spending a lot of money that way (money you could use to train on defense, perhaps?).

Concentrating on HPs and Strength to carry you through your battles is fine. Nothing wrong with that. It means you are focusing more on bringing your opponents health down to zero with an arsenal of powerful weapons first. That also means you are taking on THEIR attack fully, without ever repelling or blocking any hits (except by sink, burrow and any other species of faerie abilities your pet might have). With your current stats, you will realise how easily your opponent can kill you.

Yes, again I will say, reflectors and blockers can cover the defensive works, but you still need to take account of your budget. Remember, you are spending on training and attack weapons as well, so it will be a long, LONG time before you can look into purchasing something that is reliable.

That is why shields are sought after. They are far more affordable and usable to battlers while he or she works on trying to get a good set (that includes SEVERAL blockers and reflectors) and good stats (HPs and strength especially). However, to make shields effective, defence HAS to be trained.

That is the reason why people train defence. But in the end, it is up to you whether or not you want to do the same Smile
thanks I might have a hard long think about it... I can't wait to get the lab ray scient. as a challenger and beat the living [censored] out of him, hes taken down my STR 6 THIS WEEK - HE WILL DIE!
Heh, oh yes.. he is quite an opponent. What irritates me about him is that he can also change your pet's gender while fighting! Sheesh...

Good luck with your BD endeavours!
you too - say if I were to decide my battle plan on whatever you said (my trainging, set etc...) what would you tell me to do?
I'm looking at your spoiler and  I say:

Don't train defence. With a budget of 2 mill it's gonna really burn a hole in your pocket trying to catch up with your other stats. Since you are labbing, the pain of trying to recover defence that might be taken away by the lab will also be frustrating.

Instead concentrate on getting your strength up to 85 and get yourself a freezer. You have the budget for a Black Frost Cannon or Rainbow Frost Cannon, though eventually you should look into replacing it with a H4000 Helmet. Of course, there is also Scroll of Freezing, but I hate it.

After that, expand your sets icons. Look into things that deal a different type of icon than what you are dealing now eg Stone Club, Ice Club, Essence of Esophagor etc. Different 1-player opponents defends different icons so you need variety as much as you need power.

Not training defence would mean low defence. That means... leave out Leaf Shield. Your have some options for defence now; among them are blockers like Downsize! and Winged Scarab. Of course there are the one-use and fragile options. Apart from that, with your budget, you have not much else of choices.

Priority to upgrade should fall on your freezer, then your healer (there is a range of choices when it comes to species freezers and healers, but less so for pets that go through the lab ray). Then upgrade your attacking weapons, then your bomb, then your attacking weapons again, then FINALLY your defences.
OK thanks cadaver I will add you to my siggy ASAP Toungue uhh yeah I was thinking along those lines too just maxing out DEF and HP - getting a freezer and upgrading GHS. also as I'm only training HP and STR should I lob solely or do Codestones aswell/instead of?

thanks again
It's actually much faster to do training through both labbing and codestone. Since labbing have a knack to sending your pet's health over the roof, you have to keep a careful balance. Suffice to say that, whatever you do, try to keep your maximum health and strength at twice your level. Codestone training will be cheaper that way Smile
yeah... cool thanks again - and goodnight
