which is easier to block? But then again, it really depends on which shield your opponent uses...
You see, it's all a matter of counting the icons. Think of all the common shields and dual duties available (remember, we are looking at their combo possibilities here) and see how much each combo that you came up with can overcome that defensive combo.
Possibly the most destructive shield/dual duty combo I can think of for this weapon set is
Leaf Shield and
Dusty Magic Broom/
Air Faerie Crown. They defend a total of:

Let's see how many icons can get through these two for each combo:
BoD + AFC + EoE + MoC =

= 27 icons
WoR + AFC + EoE + MoC =

= 20 icons
WoR + DMB + RSB + MoC =

= 24 icons
BoD + AFC + PP + MoC =

= 25 icons
BoD + AFC + PFF + MoC =

= 26 icons
Conclusion: First combo wins. (I might have missed out icons or miscounted. Anyone can help verify?)
Of course this is just ONE of the many examples of defensive combos that can be used against you. As a battler, you need to think of different scenarios: Against
Earthen Scorchstone,
Patched Magic Hat,
Mask of Coltzan,
Ghostkershield,
Faerie Tabard... the list is endless.
Also remember, at any one round, you can only use 2 weapons at a time, and that your opponent has EIGHT weapons to choose from. So really, we are just scratching the surface here. In the end, it is still up to yourself as a battler to come up with the best strategy possible with the set you have.

Woot! I almost forgot that I had been preaching that kind of battle set before my hiatus!

I do not really think it is the number of icons, although that counts as a factor as well. The type of icons is more important, though it indirectly leads to how many icons you do to your opponent.
By the 'Thanks to CadaverGrey...', I do not mean I change my mind on the suggested set, I just changed minds about which option in your recommended set is better.
Why yes. Basically, type of icons leads to how many icons gets blocked by what shield which leads to how many icons gets through. Combo number 1 wins this scenario, but in another scenario, who knows. It's a matter of tedious calculation really, coupled by your knowledge on what is popular and common at the moment, and of course luck.
And that's fine if you're not changing your mind about your suggested set. I'm just wooting at remembering the fact that I use to suggest weapon sets that deals all icons AND defence nearly ALL the time!

Wow,thanks for all the great advice guys, looks like I've got a bit of calculating to do.
Oops! So I did!
Thanks for pointing it out. It's been fixed now.
