What's with the loading-ish image up where the banner ad would be (if I wasn't blocking it)? One person on the Neoboards reported seeing the image even though they were using Firefox, so it's not just my browser. Any idea why it's there and if it can/is allowed to be blocked?
I think it's just a filler image placed there for before any banner ads load. I doubt it would be harmful to block it. However, it leaves a giant yellow gap there now. Closedeyes
This neocolours thread explains how to get rid of the big color block. I used zebru's instructions and they worked... there are a couple different places your chrome folder could be in Firefox; mine was in Documents and Settings/User/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/bunch of letters.default/chrome/userContent.css Smile
Sweet, thanks Cran. Smile
I can't understand how to do it. But i'm used to see an empty yellow bar at the top of the page...
Well, here's what Neopets had to say about it: (Copied & pasted from the January 18th News)

Site Update! - You may have noticed a loading graphic has started to briefly appear at the top of the page where the ad banner should be. We're currently testing some new code that forces the banners to load after everything else, meaning there's no more waiting before you see the page. Hoorah! The test should last for a few days, so please bear with us. Smile
From the editorial:
I have recently noticed many restockers get iced. When restocking if you have JavaScript disabled is that considered cheating? ~zlqqlz
Yes, disabling JavaScript or images while restocking is considered giving yourself an unfair advantage over other players, and is not allowed. Even though it's a browser function and not a 3rd party cheat, it's still not allowed. Just like opening 100 window tabs and hitting "refresh all" trying to get Random Events will get you frozen faster than you can say, "Geraptiku" (or figure out how to pronounce it; one or the other). Don't get paranoid, though! If you don't know if you disabled JavaScript, you most likely haven't. This question probably doesn't apply to 99.87% of you, so don't fret about it if you have no idea what we're blithering about here.
______________

Does this mean that we will get frozen for blocking the ads, or if we block both the add and the space? Seeing as TNT isn't very fast to respond, i figured i could ask here.
No, ad-blocking is fine (TNT members themselves have told us that at PPT). You're just not allowed to do things like ad-block pictures of all the items you don't want in shops, making it easier for you to see (and grab first) the more expensive stuff.
Ah.. That was what I thought but I didn't want to risk my account just in case. Thanks Cranberry Smile
