So two questions:
1st Should I try and save up for a H4K Helmet or Better multi use weapons? If weapons what should I upgrade and to what. (I am setting a goal to reach so how much np's I have or earn will not matter.)

2nd I read some where that icon types do not matter in 1p just the total damage and if that is true with out changing my set up how far in 1p battles would I be able to go as longs I continue to train?
This is coming from a newbie, but it looks pretty good and balanced from here Big Grin If i were you I'd save for the h4k then maybe a Kiln (seeing your 1P), or higher...
I just battle 1 player and my bd set is very similar to yours except I have a Bow of Destiny and a Goo Blaster instead of a Ramtors Spellbook and Golden Compass (I actually have a GC but rarely use it). Originally I had a fairly crappy bd set and was waiting to upgrade until I could afford big upgrade -- a H4K Helmet and/or a Sword of Skardsen.

Well, in the end I decided to keep training  and settled for a weapons set better than I had, but less powerful than I wanted -- and I am really glad I did. Battling is so much more fun & rewarding now.

My set only has the potential to do about 5 more icons damage a turn than yours, but I'm at the 200 boost level so my pet does 4.5 units of damage per icon whereas your only does 2.0 right now. I see my biggest gains fighting-wise with my strength increases. I keep saying I'll slow or stop training soon inorder to save for a weapons upgrade, but it is hard to stop training. I beat new 1p challengers with the same weapons after each boost. I'm half way to the 250 boost now and looking forward to seeing what 1 player challengers I may be able to beat that I couldn't beat before (My pet will do 5.5 units of damage per icon at that level).

My point is that your set is basically fine for 1 player (although I do like the BOD a whole lot). What you need to do, in my humble opinion, is train aggressively. You should at the very least get to the 200 strength boost level and experience the difference that makes fighting with the weapons you now have.
Woah inspiring PilotGrarrl! Helped me out 2!
Since you do 1-player only, I do not really find the need for a 100% freezer yet. I think it is better to upgrade weapons. First choice would be Golden Compass to Bow of Destiny or Wand of Reality and then the next choice is Ramtors Spellbook to the other constant 13-iconer mentioned above.
yup upgrade to the 13 iconers and train like mad. If you think you can train+make the jump to SoS, then by all means, go ahead. But otherwise, maybe pick up a winged scarab or y-sling too. They rock against many opponents. And your 85 def boost will quickly be worn out by 1p str boosts.

The problem with training aggressively is that your 2p oppurtunities will drop quickly, but for some, they would rather train aggressively for the next neo-war, and leave out 2p. I am one of them...couldn't get my weapons to keep up with stats...at one point in your neo-life, perhaps you will reach a point where you make enoguh to train at max speed and save for weaps ( I believe I ahve reached this point^_^)
How much do you make a day Q77? I agree with you on the war part also...
Lucky you Q77.  I hardly have any money and make very little so I am training slowly.  I switched from both 1-player and 2-player to 1-player only because I cannot buy the good weapons if I train my level and defence.  Like right now, I have slightly over 1,300,000 Neopoints and my stats are as follows:

Level : 57
Health : 183 / 183
Strength : LEGENDARY (102)
Defence : EXCELLENT (56)
Move : AWESOME (74)
Intelligence : ULTIMATE GENIUS (163)

Set:
Purple Sticky Hand
Downsize!
Patched Magic Hat
Greater Healing Scroll
Honey Potion
Ice Club
Scuzzys Comb
Goo Blaster

I am planning to train level to at least 92 so I can train defence to match with my strength, but it is currently not working out as I thought since I have started playing Maple Story, I do not really play as much Neopets and therefore do not train as often as before.  I only make about 5,000 Neopoints a day so yeah...

If I actually have enough money to train and for weapons, I believe the set to match my stats should be:

Purple Sticky Hand
Downsize!
Patched Magic Hat
Greater Healing Scroll
Black Frost Cannon
Honey Potion
Bow of Destiny
Wand of Reality

EDIT: By the way __kit, you left out 'r' between 'e' and 'l' in my name and '13' at the end of 'WiltChamberlain'...
Sorry Wilt ^^ - I'm outta characters(but I'll make it work Wink ), uhhh I hope to be your stats and set one day wilt maybe in a few months, eh? (heres hoping)
Well I gues training / saving is what I am going to do at this point.

Thanks for the input
