Should I get new weapons and a new set? Or not use the lab and train in mystery island? Or should I save up? Thanks for any help in advance.
You can keep using the lab, BUT also keep training at Mystery Island. The lab tends to add strength and hit points and takes away levels and defense, so you'll need to train at the school as well as lab, or your stats will get seriously out of balance. Get rid of the Slime Potion, you've outgrown that and look at a Healing Scroll (Greater for long-term use). For a cheap freezer, either your Snowglobe Staff or a Green Frost Cannon is the norm, but neither are great. You can argue which is better, I like the Green Frost Cannon myself, but I can see the logic in the Snowglobe Staff. Leaf Shield and Downsize are fine, as are the dual Scarab Rings, though you'll probably want to use the second only against certain one-player opponents, meaning more situationally than an all-the-time thing. The Ice Club is o.k. at this point as well, and a Tyrannian Lupe Tooth would be a decent compliment to go with it as a second offensive weapon (in the spot held by the second of the two Scarab Rings). The Purple Sticky Hand is situational. I think with your budget, a better freezer isn't really gonna help as much as improving the healer and adding a multi-use weapon or two, but more training is probably your best investment of all. I'd stick to making inexpensive upgrades and training, while saving as much as I could. You don't have a big enough wallet to really jump to the next level of freezing, bomb (Honey Potion), or make a jump in #1 offensive weapon that will be meaningful. If you train your defense up, you may find dual duties to be useful alternatives in the future. If not, you'll want to stick with more offensive items, though things like those dual Scarab Rings are A LOT more effective with better defense.
