Sure, I'll give you the short explanation. The long involves pointing you to the various plot threads, but I am sure somebody will. Or I will add them in an edit latter.
This plot did indeed begin with a comic. It also began with the wagons in the haunted woods, the gypsy camp.
This time you had to solve a few pieces of the puzzles to progress the plot. The minium to have gotten to the boss is:
Find locket
Find bruno
Brew the summoning potion
Open the last door inside the asylum
Three plot steps for the boss. The smaller oponents showed up for everybody durring those stages. It remains to be seen if points where awarded to everybody who fought atleast one gravestone, or if you had to have completed atleast a portion of the plot before then.
In theory you could get to the boss and join the boss fight with less then an hour of work on a fast connection. At the time of this posting he is still above 600,000 hp and there would be time to do it.
The aparently optional plot portions, grave digging, potion ingredient running, bone checking, grave marking, potion brewing (cure), may or may not count to the points at the end. We woln't know until they release the solution. That could take a long time, remember we've not had the explanation for hoban's logic puzzle revealed yet.
