ok I just need some help on what set I should plan on saving up for. Im willing to save for years and years to get this set so just post a descent set which is heaps effective in battle

Hit us with your pet's stats and species, and tell us if you lab and (especially) whether you want a 1 or 2-player set.
Also i guess you should try an upper set not an 1337 (by the way what means that number?). If TNT keeps upgrading weapons if on themedium term you can't reach the suggeted sets it can be outdated.
But at least now you should aim for a full healer and a multiple freezer (if you want to have lots and lots of hp) or a freezer with icons.
I had this question myself, the ultimate set... theres a thread that talks about it. Theres this ultimate one including one-player weapons (naralus etc) which is insane, and one that focuses on what is possible.
I think this question relies on how strong your neopet is- for example, do you want a one-use or multiple-use freezer?

It depends on the stats (if you have a lot of intelligence, you can use certain freezers/healers you couldn't otherwise, and if you have a lot of hit points, you can use multi freezers... stuff like that) and it depends on whether you're going to train defence or not, and species can sometimes play a role as well. And anyway, things change so often that it's not much use suggesting a set that a person doesn't want to use right away, because things will be outdated by the time they finally get enough NP for it.
