I had somewhat mixed feelings but I guess overall I was satisfied...somewhat with last night's episode.
On the episode itself...WOAH did Hiro's path take a big twist to me?! What the heck? When the dude took off his mask and he was English/white...I was like .
I think the virus twist is a very interesting twist. The first thing that came to my thought is...what if the "bad boogie man" (not sylar) can spread this virus to all the heroes? I'll have to see how that plays out, though.
I couldn't understand for the life of me why nathan and his mom were saying peter was dead...I'm like he couldn't die how is that possible? Then at the end I had to argue with my hubby for 30 mins before I finally got ahold of a reply for him to watch again (3 times I might add) before he finally conceded that dude in the train car holding area was really peter. I'm so glad to see him back...but more to come on that at the end.
Molly's character is also developing quite well...but the little satan child that came out when bennet was pressuring her about her dreams kinda freaked me out. So props to them if that's what they meant to do.

As far as the "hanger" at the end...WHAT THE HECK AT SYLAR BEING ALIVE?!??!! Ugh! I thought he was DRUG into the sewer like he was dead at the end of last season. Grrrr! And then again what the heck at Peter facing that dude saying to get your personality back you have to find the box with it. I'm like...ya...that's so far stretched.

But we shall see.

All in all there were a lot of twists...but for a season premier...I guess it left me exactly as it should. Wanting more...but I didn't feel any satisfaction in watch it at all. I guess that's the way it's supposed to be? IDK. Here's to next week (for the next 20 weeks + who knows how many breaks)

I can see where the Hiro thing is going. He is the Kensei described in the books. At least, he's going to be.
Kudos to the white dude speaking fluent Japanese. Perhaps years and years of reading mangas pays off?

Doesn't Nathan still believe Peter's alive? As for Peter's possible death: I guess it's possible.. the regeneration ability repairs damaged cells and other stuff, but can it regrow an entire body from scratch (a nuclear explosion will probably blow your body to smithereens.. or at least they want us to believe that)

I think I missed something at the end.. The episode I downloaded ended with Peter at the containers (didn't know it was him, either, until he spoke. he really changed), where he didn't know his own name??

And of course Sylar's alive. Bad guys always survive unless they stay visibly dead for more than 10 minutes . Sylar was just stabbed and fell to the ground. Nobody bothered to check whether he was dead for real because Peter started to glow like a christmas tree. And afterwards, well, I guess they all believed he was dead and didn't check to make sure? or maybe nobody wanted to (who wants to go near that "monster!")

The end of the actual show on TV shows a clip from next week's show. In it some guy is asking Peter if he wants to know who he is (at that point it seemed Peter still didn't know) to which Peter replied of course to. The guy said you will have to find your personality in a box (or was it this box? I only saw the clip once and I could be mistaken). But I do remember it had to do something with Peter finding his personality in a box

Hiro becoming Kensei sounds like a good theory. Maybe that's why his dad told him all those stories about him. Kensei being Sark from Alias, that suprised me more than Kensei not being Japanese.

And you know that Peter can't die just like that, with no explanation in the first episode after he explodes in the season finale. So I was kind of expecting it to be Peter when they showed the person in the boxcar. I can't wait to hear what happened to him.

Yeah, this boogie man sounds really, really scary. Maybe it's just all the suspense and shroudedness that's making it more than it really is, but I thought Sylar was bad enough... There's also Alejandro and Maya in Mexico...it seems there's going to be more darker powers in this season.

Umm I just watched it and I don't remember seeing Sylar. Did i miss a part? The episode I saw ended with Peter, does something happen after that?

Yes the hanger (or preview) for next's week episode showed sylar lounging on a beach chair talking to some woman asking her if she could really cure him. See there are advantages to watching it live as opposed to on the PC or ipod etc.
