Notice: This starts TOMORROW. If you're interested sign up NOW, because although you can sign up at any time up to the deadline, that's less time you can spend writing.

Other than that, I don't think there's anything more to add, so I guess this can be the discussion thread for your moans, and excerpt posts Smile
Rochidragon Wrote:Actually, it's something like 1667 words per day to be more accurate. Toungue Which gets you to about 50010 and by the end of November. It's not actually that long - it's a little over a page in a Word document. I can write most character profiles at about that length. Toungue

But I'm going ahead with it. Big Grin I've been planning since August for this, and I really want to do it. And even if you don't finish it, at least you'll have participated. XD I gave up last year. After like... the first day. I'm pathetic.

uh last time I wrote 1700 words it took me over 6 hours....(althought it was think+write)...also I believe 1600+ words is more like 3 pages single spaced...and I know that is not easy....especially for 30 days in a row.

Ok enough criticismToungue I came here to say that this sounds like a great idea...thx for bringing it up, I am/just signing/ed up....and I hope I finish 50000 words, but that is uh.....very high goal?
The other day, I was musing to myself -- I put out a little over 2,000 words in about an hour and a half. Really, you can write a lot faster if you're not being meticulous (Which is what this contest is about, writing without having to think much about it).

I've started a Nanowrimo writing club for people in the forums I go to. Smile
This may seem like a stupid question but it is my first time in this writing thing and I don't know how to write a manuscript...do I open a word document and start typing? or do I type into their website? someone enlighten me...Toungue
You write it in a word document, then you can send a copy of the word document to them for word-count. It's done by PC, so no one will read your work.
So far I'm up to about 7000 words. I'm writing more right now, I'm hoping to reach 10k by the end of the weekend.
0.0 I'm still stuck in 3000 T^T
I guess I shoudln't be a prick and should not post this, but I have to give up on this contestSad I learnt about it on halloween and signed up the day before...lost the little I had pumped up and still am at 0 words...not to be discouraging, but I'm going to pull out this year...if I remember to find out about this early october next year, and my jump in school goes well, I'll participate next year^_^Toungue I tried to get some initiation, but the engine just wouldn't ignite.
Dont worry. I'm going for next year's contest also ^^
