PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING

I know some of you are gonna discredit my credibility, simply cos I may seem stupid enough to equip 2 seemingly "useless" items in my set. But my reason is simple: I like the idea that I am able to attack and defend all the BD icons, and my set has allowed me to do so, and do so well enough.

However, this set was strung together sometime back, and since then, many cheaper alternatives has come about. As stubborn as I am about changes, I decided that it's for the best so I think a revamp is inevitable.

I am currently working on getting nps to train as well as upgrade my Stone Club to either a Dusty Magic Broom or a Bow of Destiny (depending or not whether my other weapons include a light defender). I am willing to sell the Frozen Commander Shield, but my Commander Blade will go immediately to my gallery ie NOT SELLING IT (though it's gonna be pretty tough for me, I really like it ). I also like the idea of using really unconventional and lesser known weaponry, so my opponents in 2 player are lesser prepared for it.

My dilemma is that with my budget of 3 million or so (will take some time, though) the options of having total attack and defence is very limited. It looks as if I have to sacrifice at least one type of icon in my defence, in order to have a decent set upgrade.

My question now is: should I upgrade my Stone Club and save for a Bow of Destiny, and be happy with just that? Or should I look into a total set revamp and be prepared to be vulnerable in at least one area of attack or defence?

Be careful with your suggestions. I've been known to bite back when people think that my set is not good enough by their standards, but don't have a clue as to what IS their standards

i am still thinking about suggestions for you, i have to admit that i am very tempted to press the PANIC button and start your set from zero =P but i will try dont to do that.

The only question that i have now before suggesting something is...

Where is your Downsize!????

It's in my sdb. Along with my Purple Sticky Hand, Leaf Shield, Reflectors, 12 Scarab Rings, 111 Sand Snowball, hordes of other one use bombs, and several newbie ended weapons like Obsidian Dagger... among others

And I'm very interested to know about what you would suggest after you press the PANIC button, heh. No offence if I end up not heeding it, but you can never really know with me actually. I might just go bonkers and morph my pet to something Pink or Baby

I don't know about that budget, i guess a 13 iconer is the only thing.But i would sugest a pkiln for the 2 player Bd, esp good against a Gshield , or a Ring of the lost to add some serious dark defence in your set(i know, that's more then 3 mil )

Well, let's put it that I decided to go for a Dusty Magic Broom (though that's just a consideration, not a decision). That means my Commander Blade would go straight to my gallery, and I would be lacking in air defence but it will help stretch my budget abit (albeit selling off the Frozen Commander Shield). How would you build the set then?

Hm, you don't see things the way i do
Let me ask you this:
If you fight in a war, and you bring a chalenger to the 250-300 boost.
Then your dual duties won't block much...will you be hapy with the fact that you take let's say 50 damage per round instead of 70?And you'll be dealing less damage, since dual duties have a max of 9 icons as far as i remember.
From my experience, after a while, after a certain boost, you either use a full blocker or a reflector against a stronger opponent
Dual duties are great and work very good at the same or higher defence boost.
I don't see you defending against a popular Sos, or against a monocoloured kiln, as i don't see many icons from your set passing trough a Gshield.
No offence, that's the way i see it and that's the way i fight in battledome

I now that this is out of your bugdet, but, maybe you could get it soon if you save NPs fast.

Sell this:
Frozen Commander Shield
Golden Compass

to get this:
- free (shield maybe) slot (Sinsis Crown, Flaming Oven Gloves, Leaf Shield, or whatever you need against some special enemy)
- Bag of Lenny Healing Seeds
- Entangling Lenny Lasso
- Honey Potion
- Downsize! (I think that you will not have long battles, if you dont like this, replace with a shield accord to your opponent)
- Mask of Coltzan /
- Dusty Magic Broom /
- Ramtors Spellbook

Oh! and sell 10 of your 12 Scarab Ring =P

The downsize! can be more useful than one thinks, definitely add it to your set.

I'm going witht that...a full defense is quite unnecessary because it will spread your resources to thinly. Instead go for a few good defense to cover the extremely powerful/common weaps and then get some offense yourself. Since you only play 2p when bored here are my suggestions:

Winged scarab and BoD instead of the two war prizes..you need power in your set and this will give you power. Complete your set with downsize!, lenny stuff, golden compass, hone potion and stone club OR isntead of the club, maybe a patched magic hat for the small air defense. In the large scheme of things, you will be battling 1p opponents who have stronger atk than your def and will render your already-thin defenses useless.

Rabbanmad: I do see your point. But usually in war, I keep on battling till my opponent reaches a certain boost that's beyond my capability then I would usually stop (250-300 perhaps?). After that, I'll start breaking out one-use or fragile items (eg Bombs and Reflectors) just for a bit more wins before I give up and going back to collecting NPs while stronger players collect more war points. By the time the war finish I would accumulate enough NPs to perhaps buy off the top prize.

Also, SoS, P-Kiln and G-shield? I haven't got that much of a choice as of now. But you can never predict what your opponent has until you actually fight him. Truth be known, this current set I have is ideal FOR NOW. But I DO have a dream set that I would seriously like to own. No, not so high end as in Attack Peas and stuff, but it does eventually involved a G-Shield and G-Bomb and some other common AND uncommon weaponry, which I rather not devulge on, and it still does the defensives of all icon types as well as attack all icon types, albeit a stronger combo (this has always been how I battle). But that would cost NPs and that is not someting I have plentiful right now. Maybe when I reach my 300 boost? Cos I plan to stop training then.

Regelus: I like your suggestion. The BoD will be the first weapon I would aim for. Then the MoC. As for the Rings, I'm actually stocking them up (and most of my weaker weaponry) for pre-war, heh.

Anyway, thank you all for the kind and sound advice. I'm glad noone has tear me apart becos of what they think of my set . I like to say that I had this set since my pet was at 140 HP, and Pike Pike suddenly first appeared (yup, before all these great 9-iconers came about), so even though the defence and attack may be thin, they worked fine for me back then. I do realised I outgrown it now, so I think a total revamp would be great.

Still looking for more ideas, tough. So keep em coming!

Golden Compass and Stone Club should both be upgraded to Mask of Coltzan and Wand of Reality actually. That will take you some time to do... Put your Downsize! back into the set.
