i think maybe you could add one more section to the Special Effects / Misc Info of the weapons other than the current:

the section can be called category and details such as "species weapon", "Retired Weapons", etc. can be put there.
this is because when i search for a weapon by name, i will not be able to know what kinda of weapon it is (species or non-species) or whether it is retired or not.
heres another suggestion. maybe you could also add the price range into the descriptions of the weapons found under advanced search engine.

edited: oh yar just happened to notice that theres something confusing in the advanced search engine. the box for??max no. of damage icons is placed under the list of icons blocked.
sometimes a good weapon may be slightly overpriced and gets a bad rating. sometimes a good weapon (like the super attack pea) which is totally unaffordable for most people gets a very good rating. its sorta inconsistent and stuff.
so i was thinking maybe we can have different types of ratings for each weapon so that the ratings will be reflected more accurately.
eg.
---------- 1-player battledome ----------
price rating (with respect to effects):
damage rating:
defense rating:
icons type rating:
other effects rating:
etc
---------- 2-player battledome ----------
price rating (with respect to effects):
damage rating:
defense rating:
icons type rating:
other effects rating:
