"that website is totally neglected, there still isn't a single review for the items from the altador cup "
That is from the neopets BD board, and i must say i agree with that thing. You don't see many reviews from 2006,and generally you se reviews only to the popular weapons.
Trust me when I say it's being worked on. Whistling
Wow, there's a smiley for everything now, isn't there? Wink

I'm glad this is being worked on... I've always liked reading the ratings.
Maybe I'll get in trouble for saying this... but yeah, a new system is launching... think about what kind of reviews and articles you, as users, would write... you might get the chance Whistling
No offence, but I personaly would like to read some good reviews, and i think the raters are neo users with experience in the batledome. So i don't think that anyone could do that. Smile
I started rating again, I'll get the more recent weapons done this weekend, promised Toungue

I'm sure they won't let just any newbie come along and rate a weapon. Hopefully if normal users are allowed to rate, their writeups will have to be read and approved by someone before they appear on the site. There are a few forum posters here who I think could write good ratings; they're already great at testing weapons, so rating shouldn't be hard for them.
I'm in on the secret, granted I don't know that much more Shhh

I have ideas too tohugh. A way to curb abuse of submissions. Is to make sure the person has atleast a month-old forum account.

Another way is to allow us to rate the the raters on each weapon. We should be allowed then to sort ratings by how much people like the rater's rating which would bring the possibly more relevent ratings on top. And it is best, in my opinion, if ratings of raters are totalled like the reputation system instead of being an average.
I'm not sure what the rating process is, but if ratings were approved by at least 2 other raters, that should serve to enhance rating quality and objectivity.

Peer review is commonplace in most fields.

That's my 2 cents
Being a lower level battler the lower level weapons aren't brilliantly reviewed as lots of them just have "use scarab ring". Also quite outdated in the fact that there are now a lot of cheap 6+ weapons around which are not usually referred to.
However the site in general is great and i alwas use it for finding new weapons.
Good work Smile
