But I can take a crack at offering some advice on beating the brain tree mace (Assuming the Brain Tree has boosts of 1.5, because I honestly don't know).
>>>For the first couple of turns, I'd suggest using your snowglobe staff and using either the Tooth of Terask or the Leaf Shield for your second weapon.
I suggest the snowglobe staff because:
-1- when it attacks, the worst the brain tree mace can do is block 2 water icons, which still leaves 4 of your icons undefended, no matter what.
-2- if it gives you a yellow snowball, that'd be a great thing to couple with the illusen's earth postion for when he's frozen.
-3- if you do manage to freeze him, that gives you a major advantage over him. If you attack with Illuen's Earth Potion and Yellow Snowball and a fierce attack when he's frozen, you have the possibility of dealing up to 36 damage to him.
I suggest the Tooth of Terask because:
-1- like the snowglobe staff, the brain tree can only defend 2 of its 6 icons (the brain tree mace will never block any of those 3 air icons).
-2- the tooth defends dark, and the brain tree mace has 3 weapons that attack with dark (none of which defend the tooths icons)
If you fall behind in HP in the start, I suggest Leaf Shield because:
-1- earth and physical are frequently occuring attack icons in the Brain Tree's weapon lineup, and water is used sometimes to, so the leaf shield makes a great defense
-2- if used against the brain tree's strongest attack, you reduce his 10.6 icons to 6.6 icons
>>>If your snowglobe staff breaks early in the fight, I'd suggest using the scarab ring and tooth of terask.
I suggest the scarab ring because:
-1- The brain tree doesn't defend much water, icons both this wepaon and the tooth attack with.
-2- The scarab ring's defence compliments both the tooth of terask's and the leaf shield's defense well. The brain tree mace uses a substantial amound of fire icons as well as physical, something the scarab ring will make quick work of.
The timing of your heal and downsize lie in your judgement.
The main thing I'd suggest keeping an eye out for is light icons. The brain tree uses a lot of light icons (up to 5) just like earth (up to 5), dark (up to 4), physical (up to 4) and fire (up to 4), but unlike those other icons, you have no means of defending light attacks in your current set. So if this strategy doesn't work after a few tries, I'd suggest looking into light defense, though I've yielded few good alternatives in seraching IDB.
