A lot of you have probably already heard about this, but don't accept chat invites from random people. In fact, don't even accept chat invites from people you do know unless you can confirm that it is indeed the person you know on that character. Either there is an exploit in the chat system that allows an attacker to crack your account, or the cracker known as ecko just chat invites people before cracking their accounts to mess with the community's head.
Haven't heard of it. I have gotten trades from randome peolle, tough one was in the FM (I wasn't seeling anything at the time, though.) And one was a level 25 asking for mesos.
Trades are fine as far as I know, it's the chat invites you need to watch out for.

Guilds are bring hacked and members expelled too, though it seems the hackers are using packet hacking to invite themselves into guilds and expel members, but as ours has no spaces, I believe this makes us safe..

Maybe we are safe, but this looks like an attempt by them to get in. I assume they got our name from Yoshi being in FM. I was only in the Haf map, and no one had entered it since I got there.
Hmm I'm seeing the same thing Oka, but this one says
"'0' quitted the guild"
repeatedly
It's possible to get guild names from profiles on sw.net as well.
First they just started off with their packet editing doing a similar job to vaccers, then it went to the fame hacks, then it was hacking people through chat invites and destroying guilds without even having to have characters in them...
I really worry what could be coming next. If they start being able to badly affect individuals without having them click on the chat thing, then that is going to make it worthwhile to just quit. They probably are capable of a lot more, and if nexon doesn't do something about it, then they are going to have just one big mess of a hardly playable game within months or even weeks
It wouldn't be possible if Nexon would just make it so the server doesn't just believe anything a client tells it. Apparently it doesn't check if a character actually got an invitation before letting them in the guild.
