I did some messing around today, and I figured out what you need to send from a script to get the info for a specific character from the rankings. I also had a look at image creation and manipulation functions in php, specifically ones for inserting text.
In other words, I know enough now to make my own version of those sigs that display the person's char, level, and % exp. So that's another thing on my list of projects that would be fun to do: an open-source MS sig image, so that people don't have to use that other one that has a url in the upper-left and that's too big for most people to use on sw forums.
Of course, I don't have the hosting resources to accomodate all of sw, so someone else would have to pick it up and host it for it to be used by anyone, but I could hardcode a version for myself and use my own hosting for that.
