just something i found weird while playing, people seem to be just send me random trade requests..
no message, i didn't ask for anything, they didn't ask for anything, they just send trade requests.
does this mean anythign in-game? (request to trade fame maybe?)
They do that to you because they think you didn't hear them say:
Selling XXX @x100
Usually i just press the X on them but if it gets out of hand, I defame them
Go me!
It probably means one or more of the following:
1. They're desperate to sell something
2. They're a n00b.
3. They're trying to scam you.

Wow.....that is a lot of harassing. And random trading? That is a bit off hand. Hope you guys get the reporting system soon. It really helps.

What's a Jane's quest thing?
Some people like to gather lots of the materials needed for jane's quest, then find newbies that haven't done it yet but are able to, and give them the materials. Then they offer a price for the scroll they get as a reward that's way lower than market price, but high enough that it sounds great to a newbie (like offering 100k for a 60% staff scroll, which are worth somewhere around 1-1.1 mil). Of course, they only do that for the easy to sell scrolls, not for 1-handed blunt weapon or anything.
I fell for that one, was a claw 60%
Nowdays I get those random when town, asking for mesos, the most ridiculus one was someone asking 10k.
The other, but rarer are the ones selling crap that only low leveled uses, one similar are the ones trying to sell something that I might use in a future.
The most silly thing I've seen in a trade request was a noob that doesn't know that for using Double Stab he needed a dagger
