If you're stuck on ideas on how to actually think and play the game, go back to the really old archived games and read over the gameplay there. I'm sure you'll pick up something of worth.

The way the game is currently progressing, Werewolf on IDB may be fading into oblivion. No offense to many still playing, but many of the old elite players have left this site. The golden age of Werewolf on IDB is gone, and we need to replace it by encouraging active discussion and thought between players.

This is what i usually do when i'm a baddie(which tends to happen alot recently). If i do have a chance to kill at night(near the beginning of the game) i tend to knock off characters that are usually inactive or aren't one of the people who "contribute" alot to the thread. It may sound somewhat selfish in a way, but i keep these players alive in order for a good WW game to happen, a good game including discussions, posts that had some thought put into it, incriminating posts, and stuff like that. I also take into account of whether the player has died early in recent WW games, because i know how it is to join a WW then find out your dead right away. Of course while the game progresses then you start knocking off people that pose a threat to you, but atleast give them a few days to live. Which is why in some WW games i play, i always try to do the most in the early days, since thats when it's usually dull and boring and i try to liven things up abit. Of course by doing this you usually sacrifice yourself in the process, but atleast you get the game rolling and you don't feel like you haven't contributed at all in the game. But thats just me when it comes to it.

ryguy: Like I said, you've made a perpetuating cycle. Yeah, I understand your sentiments (though I disagree--that's like me saying I'd rather never play Neo but at least taht way I'll never be frozen; it's defeatist and you're selling yourself short), but I think that you'll find (as I said before and as silver already commented) that if you change that stupid stigma and make the game go back to how it used to be (where being talkative was the norm and not the other way around), you'll find that that fixes your little problem. I do my part for that when I play, but it's not a decision that can be made by one individual. The group as a whole needs to commit--and I feel as if most of you simply don't want to because you take this for granted. That, taking it for granted, is far too large of a mistake.

And ryguy, it's not the fact that people who speak up are being killed early, they're being killed because they have a lot of game experience.

Guys, kill Jetman. Mr. Freeze saved him from death, and he survived an execution before that. Not that difficult.

yep that leaves ivy which I believe is ben, why you ask, well I've been in many games with ben and seems to have identical posting styles whenever bad, and guess what, it's identical to last game . (he's also been on every day for quite some bit dispite his few posts and lack of content per post.)

I've missed quite a bit from my inactivity and I'm too lazy to read through 10 pages sorry...but I did read the last 3 pages of groupies and noticed a lot of complaints about the WW game and I have to agree(ok I know there seems to be no independent thought there, which is hypocritical) but I also was thinking this independently earlier on...anyways I'd like the WW games to regain their reputation and have more skillful members play although admittedly, I'm not one of the best, I'd like to improve...and one way is to make contacts...often the winners have the whole team in a msn chat room or AIM or lots of pms...I doubt much is happenning behind the scenes since nothing is happenning on the thread...I'm just rambling on and I'll be queit now and watch the remainder of the game....Go team!

either jetman is mr freeze or he's evil and knows mr freeze either way if anyone can kill at night, even other baddies I'd do it to jetman.

This is getting tedious, if just the daykiller didn't wasted so many shots, or being death, he would kill Jetman for once.
