We need to shake things up a bit, so I turned the user reputation system on. Don't like someone? Give them a negative! Love someones comments? Give them a positive! Just remember you can only give 5 a day, and they have to be on different posts. Have fun kids

Oh, and for obvious reasons, you can't give/take rep from mods.

Rules:
DO NOT give rep to be hurtful, I don't want to see people ganging up on each other and starting a rep war.

DO NOT do "rep exchanges" with other members where they reo you and you rep them, this is not the purpose.

DO feel free to negative rep someone acting like a n00b. Its the only way they'll learn.

Well, some of us just think GIR and Spaz are cool from MapleStory... I do understand, though.

may I spent my 5 points a day giving negitive rep away to the people who spend much more time and bandwidth on this site not talking about neopets or the battledome, then neopets or the battledome?

I think that's a stupid idea to negative rep somebody. Not everybody on these forums play neopets anymore.

I've only given out positive ones so far, to people who I think post a lot of good stuff. It's kinda fun! I like that we can read the comments in our user CP, too.

Good idea Forte. The forums has been a little dull latly so this should brighten things up. What is the punishment if we abuse this power Forte?

Speaking of such. I was looking at one of my negative reps. And one time it only said "I like to do this to you"

Is that allowed?

Nobody's abused it when it comes to me (I'll assume the two people who gave me negative rep had valid reasons ), but I've seen quite a few new members with red, and I haven't noticed them being stupid or rude or anything, just a little clueless... I'm worried the fact that people are immediately negative repping them might make them not want to post here, and the boards are so slow that we shouldn't be scaring people off unless they're really too annoying to have around. I dunno.

Errr... What I wanted to say was that I've never seen this in a forum, but looks as a cool feature to me. At least if it's used the right way.

I gotten quite a few abuse ones =/ Some of them make no sense x.x; somebody out there doesn't like me o.O; for now my positive reppers are beating this negative repper I am a bit curious as to who this person may be so I can make amends with whatever wrong I've done to him? ^_^ Please PM me if you negative rep me so I can better understand why you do it...

One negative rep that makes me raise my eyebrow simply says "You're not all that." but for that same post, I've gotten multiple good rep points that say that I did good job because my advice posts are so detailed and done with a lot of care and such...
