atm, i get all my ores as random drops...then i thought i'd go do something else other than kill things, so i decided to do some quests and forge me some boots.
then i realized "opal" is composed of 10 opal ores..and i only have 1 in my entire 25 levels.
is there a better place to get these? or do i just have to be lucky? and are these shoes only supposed to last me 5 levels?

A Pretty weak monster Drops opal, but it would be boring collecting them to.You could buy em to.I still have my level 35 shoes, and i'm level 44.Doesn't matter much anyways.If you can get a pair of shoes..i say 15-your lv those'll still work.
It might be easier just to try and buy the boots FH.
Opals can be found easily in FM for as little as 500 mesos each.
Some people top up their shoes every 5 levels, yes. But some people choose to stick with boots for up to 10 levels sometimes.
Btw, I'm still annoyed with you over that Screamer thing.
I kept the lvl 30 shoes till lvl 50.
The opal is kinda common, and hunting the right monsters, you can refine one opal quickly
If you really need one, you can always search the freemarket.

Its alright, you get a fame once a day, better to use it than not at all. But just for YOUR satisfaction, have 2 more characters at lv 15 in the same server.

I believe that question should go in the beginnier thread. And just to answer it, it allows you to equip some higher leveled dark armor, Zakum helmets, and a few quests. After having 100 fame you really don't need anymore.
