Someone hacked me last night. I lost over a mil in np (shop till, bank), my Halo Of Devilpuss, my Enchanted Wooden Bow, my plushie petpet paintbrush, total 16 dubloons, my Ghost Wuzzle, and more. I am so mad, I cant even express it. Has anyone else ever been robbed? What happens, I reported it, and I have my windows up still so I can get screenshots of what I had last night before bed. I havent given my pw to ANYONE, I havent visited any free sites except this. I am so incredibly upset. You don't even know. I was saving up, I had enough points to buy the pb I wanted, but didn't buy it, was going to wait till I had 2 mil...errrrrrg I am kicking myself for not buying that pb when I had my points.

How can people be so mean???

Also, anyone know if TNT replies to neomails or through e-mail?

You might been Cookie Grabbed.

TNT can return your account, even freeze it for avoiding more loses, but they don't return items.

I can tell ya that because I was cookie grabbed too.

I don't know if the pin is also stored as a cookie, wich I doubt, since it is requested each time you go to shop, banck, etc.

But at least is a safeguard.

nope such keep a low profile that means dont go to the boards dont win any competitions dont have painted pets dont do trades or auctions dont sell anything in your shop thats worth alot or gallery. so bassicily no you cant

You can do all of those things. The way to avoid copokie grabbers is to avoid the user lookups of people you don't trust, be careful with user shops, and only open neomail from people you know. You can visit the boards however much you like. It is not really possible to target a cookie grabber, as it requires you to visit a specific page. A CGer might try to lure you there, but if you use a little vigilance you should be thinking why they want you to go to that page.

The PIN is not stored as a cookie or anything else on a users computer, it is stored securely on neopets' servers. The only way a hacker can get into PIN protected areas is lucky guessing, or you have told them.

I know the feeling, I had a koi armed with a SAP, Ghostkersword, G-Shield and some other rare items that I can't remember. I never even got my account back. Count yourself lucky on that point.
