I reckon there'll be something for your lookup, at least if you get through the first round maybe... There probably is no difference, apart from when you're playing the computer. Chances are altador will be harder to beat that roo island. Anyway, I've signed up now and can't be bothered changing again, only time will tell what we get!

Hmm this is fairly easy. My best win is 12-2 so far.

Man. This is pretty hard.
Any tips?
And how can I use the keyboard?

I haven't seen any noticable difference playing with different teams, and I've tried out 6 or so.
Best win: 6-0

my best win as of now is 12-0.
some tips.. against the practice team atleast (you should practice against all types of offense, not to get better at a certain type, but to get better playing against it! since the practice team mirrors your own choice)
you can click on your players as the yoyuuball (or whatever) is coming out. i advice click on one, and then just put your cursor towards the center of the screen. this way you start asap towards the ball and 99% of the time win the face off!
defenders: well, i run a 2+2, and i generally have 2 back (really far back) to help block goals (the opponent tends to shoot randomly from far away, sometimes it's hard to get to the goalie in time!) there is always the tab function aswell, but i'm not to fond of that.
shooting: i generally play right to left, and when i do, i generally iso the ball, go far right then shoot left. this works 100% of the time with the fire ball regardless of distance, snow ball, you should be alittle closer the faerie and mutant balls are pretty much the same, they curve.. i advice more distance.. this is just against the practice team ofcourse.. who knows what will be better once the tourny starts.
this is just a simple iso shot.
this is a cross crease shot as mentioned below, great for the variable balls (mutant and faerie)
warnings.
only use the fireball for wall passes.
the snowball is slow, so only throw short passes
with faeria and mutant, don't pass unless they're open, the risk of interception is pretty high.
um... i generally don't write things like this, but i'm pretty good at this, i hope this helps.
EDIT:: i forgot, an easy way to score with the mutant/faerie ball, is to have one forward on one side of the goal, and bring the ball up the field on the opposite side, pass the ball across the crease, and shoot! the goalie isn't super speedy, so this leaves you with an open net.
how do i do the spoiler thing for screenies? i'd love to show some people what i mean. anyone who's played sports knows what i mean (i played soccer in lacrosse in highschool, i graduate in TWO DAYS!)
steals: simple, get infront of the ball, face the opponent quickly to take the ball, then like in all sports, run to net protecting the ball with your body!

lol you just have to type spoiler and /spoiler at the front and end of your screenies. make sure to put those two wrods in the square brackets...
My best score is 9-0...I use the same tricks as kaniget...other than that, there's not much to add.

My conjecture is that the faerie/mutant always flies away from the center...but I'm not 100% sure.
A trick for those is approach from the right, then rather than pass to your guy like in kaniget's screenshot, shoot @ the goalie..it usualy curves in if you do it from far away.06-04-2006, 02:21 PM
yeah that works for me sometimes, but i seem to get unlucky most of the time and it curves too much and comes back to the goalie, the pass method, though it takes more time to set up, is an automatic goal.. and with my luckatleast, i'd rather take 3 seconds to set up then 7 getting the ball back and making my way down the field.
