I think people are more going by how cool the team symbols look, which team got most points last round, and what color their own pets are painted.

... Because no war competitive oldbie would ever fly faerieland's colors... plus only the truly elite oldbies remember major events involving the mysterious island =P

i cant help but suspect TNT is making up the scores as they go and choosing whoever they want to advance..... just my hunch tho

According to my logic... since the CoM war produced a lot of fierce Pirate loyalists. Krawk Island will win. Plus, during the CoM war, the pirates did have a disportionately larger oldbie count but the Maraquans won because of the sheer number of supporters for the underdog:

Total Pirates: 54,791
Total Points: 3,236,164

Total Maraquans: 202,248
Total Points: 6,188,612

The Pirates managed to pull over twice their own weight in comparison to the Maraquans. In the war, losing didn't drag down the war points, however in this cup, losing does affect the score so the newbie population will probably drag down Mysterious Island.

Then again... if Mysterious Island wins, I can always argue that in the year since the CoM war, all those Maraquans are no longer newbies and lingering resentment over pirates caused them to rally to Mysterious Island since Maraqua is out of the cup.

Yup, I chose Krawk Island because of the CoM war and the ranking system used in the war. Still believe pirates can win bigger than CoM war, so trying to make for it in the Altador Cup.

how many wins is everyone on this round?

I think that the scoring may actually be a proportion, as that would explain Mystery Island's incredible performance. (They were matched up against perhaps the weakest team)

Does anyone has any idea what kinda system they are using for the advancement? is it how many goals you score for your team or how many wins you got for you team?
