If you still need to gather 10 Orange Mushroom Caps, you can go to the map that is all the way to the right of Amherst, and at the top of that map are two platforms where they spawn. You can attack them from the spot in between both without them being about to hit you. If you change channels, you spawn right below them and can surf channels looking for them.
