Full Version: Enforce Screenshot Rule

Recently, there have been plenty of weapon data submitted in the Weapon Information & Updates without screenshots or any type of proof. Because of this, the iDB cannot use the information, unless it wishes to include possibly inaccurate or phony data. (I am not stating that anyone who submitted data without screenshots are making it up, of course.)

Enforcing a rule or a guideline to require screenshots will help. If anyone does not know how to create a screenshot, we can help that person. Better yet, we can create a "stickied" thread that shows how to do that.

Of course, even screenshots can be forged. However, anything is better than nothing.
Good idea, I like it...if someone is making up stuff/misreading stuff, a screenshot will help us...also if someone wanted to fake something, tehy would have to fake a screenshot and that would be more troublesome than just stating some fake facts...*earth to forte*, should/can we put this new rule into the rules for weapon info/update?
And make the sticky thread just to cover a possibility.
Please also enforce this in the Open Forum. Plenty of weapon data is lost daily from mistrust because iDB did not request screenshots.
We already enforce it, we just don't update the weapon Toungue

I know some raters (Phoenix) actually test the weapons with people, or they borrow the weapon, so we are updating valid information, not just taking people's judgements.
This isn't something that would be enforced since screenshots can be faked. As tranq mentioned, the only way to verify is to have a rater test the weapon with them.
