The definition of rustic is actually country / rural according to the dictionary
. Just thought I'd point that out.
Rustic would be used for something that has a rough appearance (so my source, the dictionary, says), lacking refinement, simple and unsophisticated, coarse. I felt the copper colour, and the rather harsh signature, fitted with the word.
And rustic makes me think of rust (lol) too, suiting the colour. It also is used to mean a textured appearance!
Such meanings of a single word!
