This may be something rediculously obvious..
But I was going through the weapons database and came to the conclusion that It would virtually be impossible to beat someone that is using Illusens Staff and The Wand of the Dark Faerie - together. Yes, I know its near impossible to also obtain these two weapons, but hell hath no fury like the person using them.
You can... especially if they're low in max hp. It would be impossible to kill 10k pet with those.
Even just one makes you all but invincible.... At least for 1-player, you can use wand + zerk all day long (if you have a big pet that is).....
Anyone who can afford one, let alone both, is probably packing a Super Attack Pea.
That being said, I think the Staff/Wand might actually be better in the long run, with the healing capabilities.
Thats what I mean, anyone that has a pet even with like 2k would be hard to stop because the 2 wands heal 20% max HP each, and they dont fill up a healing spot.
So really, your HP gets in the red, wouldn't you get healed 40% if you used the two wands at once?
AND you could still have a healer...
Would they even need a Healer?
The better question is how powerful the combo would fare against a War Boss. Have the War Bosses been equipped to properly overload any Pet running the two of those?
And another question... are the Staff and Wand limited to one-per-Pet? I don't recall off-hand how long ago they were originally added to IDB, but I want to say it was more than a couple of years ago.
I dont think they need to limit it to one per pet because just getting one of either is hard enough as it is.
Yea, if you use both, youd get a total of 40% healed every time to reach the red, so for someone with 2000HP, every time they reach red, they get an 800HP heal.
Yea, AND you could still equip a Jade SS for a worst case scenario situation.
I-Staff + WoDF = 20% heal still.
Wait, so you dont get the 20 from each? Thats weak.
I suppose the explanation for that would be that you'd get a 20% heal from one, and then when the other goes to heal...you'd no longer be in the red and would no longer activate the healing qualities of the other?
That's pretty weak, but on the up side, you have two weapons which heal the same...yet attack and defend differently. It's still pretty brilliant, should you ever be able to acquire both.
