That's the general message for someone who can't go below level 1.Usually that's when you get the message: "And nothing happens"
I've got put on level 1 four times when I was level 15-19, but after I get past level 20, it doesn't happen anymore.
it's a glitch-like thing? darn i wish i'd taken screenies. maybe TNT would even refund me my levels
but yes, goes back down to lv 1 has happened 4 times for me. it fits though, when i get that it's mostly when i'm arnd level 2-4. but i remember clearly 1 timewhen it was at level 7 (if not 7 then 6) after some intensive training.
perhaps the lab ray can do -5 to -6 level VERY rarely? =S

Actually, I think the "and nothing happens" is when it tries to turn your pet a color that doesn't exist for it (like if it tried to turn a Lenny desert or an Eyrie faerie). But I agree that the "and he goes down to level 1" is what you get if you're at level 2 and it tries to subtract two levels (for example), which is of course not possible. I won't believe that it subtracts a whole pile of levels at a time until I see some kind of proof, which I never have.

That may be with the And nothing happns, but that was my personal observation.I've never received that message, but my friends who were at the begining with the lab used to get that mesage.
well that would fit in with my experiences. i've gotten and nothing happens coupla times, but seems less frequent recently.
