Hi I shouldn't be in Round 4 because I lost Round 3 to my opponent. We weren't able to battle during the alloted time given by IDB. We just finished our battle today, May 6.
Srri, you guys were not able to fight before the round ended, so I had to make a decision.

Jimmig failed to post in the Rnd 3 scoring thread, so you were awarded the win.

This decision will not change. Xenu, you advance to Rnd 4, so hurry and contact your opponents to schedule a battling time.
_____

If you do not finish your battle before the end of the round, please post in the scoring thread telling us what is happening. As shown, even though you may be the better battler, by not following directions you may end up loosing the battle.
mararet2809 doesn't seem to exist Sad
Really isn't fair that Xenu got the win when I won 2 straight times....we were emailing each other back and forth and challenged each other a number of times the past week but just couldn't finish battling yesterday...why would I post in the round 3 thread when we still hadn't battled and were communicating back and forth
It seems that Mararet2809 got frozen Sad Post in the scoring thread aobut your opponent being iced. Lets hope Mara gets uniced by the end of the round..

Jimmig, your battle was fought 2 days AFTER the round ended. I can't take the score. It doesn't matter that you won 2 straight, because both of you failed to get your battle in. One week is enough time for anyway to get their battle in.
One week doesn't always work if you're in the middle of exams and in different time zones....2 days late isn't too bad in the circumstance, especially when both Xenu and I agreed that it's only fair that I advance.....failing to post in the thread ? ... really doesn't seem like a fair way to determine who won...a quick email in IDB would have been nice....anyway, I have no problems with Xenu...it was a good battle and thanks for playing fair....good luck....too bad IDB isn't as fair as you
Take in count other people when you consider 2 days arent too bad :\
Those 2 days might be the only 2 days your opponent on the next round has to battle you. Or think that everyone think that way and delays their battles by 2 days...Which is why we say round results must be posted by the end of the round. Before saying something is unfair, think about how that affect others instead of just yourself.

In any case, the decision was made before the fight, everyone is required to read the results and rules to participate in the tourney and to post their results before the round ends.
If that's the case I don't understand why Q77 would post the following yesterday:

yeah we decided each round would be a week and that is sufficient time...I'm not sure what your point is zellsmash but some people cannot battle because of timezones and no internet on certain days (weekdays for example) Also, since IDB was down for a bit, I think kage is postponing the end if this round by a day or two max. Round 4 will start very soon.

I've read the rules and there is nothing in the rules about a specific cut off time and the post by Q77 seems to indicate that we had more time ....I would appreciate if you could let me know if there is a section in the rules giving exact cut off times....thanks.
hi, time for me to join the conversation!Toungue firstly please use quote brackets when quoting other ppl...
now on topic:
IDB Battle Royale - Rnd 3
Battling Starts: Now!
Battling Ends: May 4
This was quite clearly stated in the round 3 thread. KAge did not end the battling until the 5th battling on the 6th is clearly too late.

Now for the reason why I posted that:
cuz zellsmash seemed to be complaining about round length or something, so I decided to post that. Note I said I "think" Kage might postpone the end time since IDB downtime wouldn't really affect battling, kage was already nice enough to postpone the round end by 1 day.

Lastly, kind of repeating but Kage clearly stated the end of battling was May 4th...it can be assumed MAy 4th 12 pm IDB time or at the latest 12 NST...so May 6th, no matter the time, is way off.

EDIT-I understand it is unfair for you not to move on since you were the stronger battler, but kage has made his decision and according to the rules, we can do anything we wantToungue Next time you should post something somewhere BEFORE the round ends and explain the situation.
Just letting you know (if you didn't already) that nothing was posted on the idb main page about this round and that the IDB Tournament Director post on this page is a little messed up for me (ex):
