Wizet is not dumb, Zakum has resistance of Mesos Explosion, Doom, Dispel and all other stats.
Zakum isn't immune to Meso Explosion.

I recall seeing a video from CMS with it being used.
Arms are not but the Main Body is immune to Mesos Explosion.
Recommendation:

Since you can have up to 3 parties at once in Zakum, I would suggest this:

1 priest(passive dragon attack/heal/dispel/holy symbol/bless) 1 Dragon Knight(hyper body/Thrasher for arms and buster for head) 1 crusader(for fury) 1 mage(def up penetration) per party the other two is up to the person.

Chief Bandits: Maybe the worst job to Zakum. Although they can do a lot of damage, they still have the lowest endurance and they are a melee job. It's going to be a little hard to play as Chief Bandit in Zakum and expensive because of Meso Guard

Archers: Although Xbows are much more preferred at this level, both are still very good. Their endurance does not differ from of theives but their range mends some of that flaw. Also Hawks/Eagles help a lot (even if they don't stun, passive attack is still good)

Hermits: Probably the most recommendable out of the low endurance for high avoid (like a Cheif Bandit) and range. Only problem might be running out of Ilbis. Lets hope that never happens.

Dragon Knights: Very Neccesary for hyper body so no one dies. Thrasher (polearms are not useless), if used in the right spot, can hit all four arms of Zakum on one side. Buster, after the arms are gone, can deal a lot of damage on Zakum.

Crusader: Make sure you fill in all your 5 combo orbs before meeting Zakum. Also like Spearmen, Crusaders deal a lot of damage and also helps party members with fury. Its like wearing another +attack work glove.

Knights: If Zakum had an elemental weakness......although not as strong as Crusaders or DragonKnights but still does stable amount of damage compared to Crusaders. (Since you have to charge up combos before using Coma or Panic)

Priest: Dragons are strong and passive, good. Holy symbol for more exp. Bless for everyone. Dispel unwanted curses. Heal. Very very good for Zakum. Priests are the best. (Supports self's job)

Fire Mage: Explosion is a good arm killing attack but slow. Composition is good if Zakum can get poisoned. Fire arrow sounds much more useful since it eats less MP. Mages are good.

Ice/Lightning Mage: Blizzard attack (I dunno the name of the skill) is strong and casting speed is pretty ok. Head killing might be nice with lightning spear if lightning spear was a little faster. Mages are good.

If you watch that, you can clearly see Cheif Bandits Meso Exploding. The body can only be hit once the arms are down though..

Add in Spell Booster, and Ice/Lightning Mage skills improve greatly. I can use Ice Strike about twice in the time that it takes a Fire Mage to use Explosion once, and that's without Spell Booster. Thunder Spear with Spell Booster is as fast as an unboosted Fire Mage's Fire Arrow.
GIR, I really can't say Ice/Lightning mages are better because all the other jobs have boosters also. I know how good boosters are but its not really a valid comparison with other offense units.

And don't brag about boosters infront of me please.... *goes and cries* (We dont have boosters) <----cleric
GIR is comparing boosted to unboosted, which really isn't fair. By the time you could fight Zakum effectively, I'd assume you'd have booster + your main attacks skills maxed.

I wasn't saying they're better Dry . Anyways, I'm saying that an Ice/Lit mage's attacks are ridiculously faster than a Fire Mage's.
