Actually, I think they DO do it for training. 5 mil exp is a lot no matter what level you are.
Yeah...I don't think that anybody could get the same exp that they get from Zakum anywhere else in the 2 or so hours that it takes...And at their level, I'm sure that buying all those elixirs are worth it in the end...
And for the healers, you got to remember how much you are healing. And how much exp you recieve from healing. Some priests have been known to level up while healing in Zakum.
Oooo...Can't wait for that! Big Grin

What should the typical Zakum party consist of? I'm guessing 1-2 Priests, another Mage to attack while he uses Defense Up, a few (2?) warriors, and then a mix between Thieves and Archers?
Lots and lots of bandits. *Supports his job*

Everything. Remember, to fight Zakum you really need more than one party. With that said, every party fighting obviously needs a priest for healing and a dk for hyper body. The others are useful for fighting Zakum, but it doesn't really matter which party they're in, except the relatively small effect of a crusader's rage.

I think all three warriors are needed for their crash skills.

Fire and Ice mages are needed for when Zakum uses that physical barrier that makes all physical attacks do 1.

Not sure about sins, bandits, and bowmen, but I'm sure they must be useful.
Priests are needed (dur), Rangers/Snipers are needed for damage potential and Arrow Rain/Eruption (for when he summons the horde of stone underlings), both Wizards (help to take out the Fire/Ice weak arm, and needed for when he uses the Super Def. Up), all warriors (DK for Hyper Body, Page for magic crash and ice/fire weak arms, Crusader for armor crash), bandits are helpful (meso explosion helps a bit, and they can take out the top arms efficiently), sins are... less-needed, unless you've got a ton of stars.

Everybody is important, Hermits just get short shift sometimes. Of course, in gMS, sins get priority, and so do Crusaders- imo, the least useful classes (although everybody is needed).

1-3 Priests are needed in every party- more Priests if you've got a party of easily-killable people (bowmen, sins, and careless mages).

Bwahahah, anyhoo why do we need to know this? *vanishes*

cuz its fun to dream. and talking about it until all of us are actually strong enough to survive the two hours of zakum bashing is the best way to feel as if we're close to being able to fight him ourselves! (at least thats y i talk about zakum) Smile
because someday idb will have enough people to make up almost one whole party for zakuming XD.

DK is definitely needed, maybe even one in every party. HB can keep people alive much longer than they could normally. A priest is a definite MUST in every single party (duh) for healing, and for...I dunno, other stuff XD

in gMS I think crusaders would be thought of as important. They have rage, which is still a bonus, albeit a small one, especially compared with DKs and Hyper Body. they also have finishers, which deals more damage than anyoneone else could possibly put out. Even if it does take time to charge.

Mob killers, most definitely. fire/poison mages by this time should have explosion and posion mist maxed. Also rangers and snipers, arrow rain/erruption can help take out mobs. Ice/fire arrow from these same archers can take out fire/ice weak arms well.

Sins, being one of the most used and strongest classes right now in gMS would be present in every party. Haste, as a skill wouldn't be that big of a thing, I don't think, and as soon as they run out of stars they're dead. However, high level theives still do huge damage. And many of them are rich enough to afford hours worth of stars.

I don't know who would be most useful really. Every class has a specific job to do, and while some are better than most, all have something they can do.
You forgot a Chief Bandit. If you had a really rich bandit friend, they can use Dark Sight and set huge ammounts of mesos by Zakum to explode them all *evil grin*
