Can we 're-get' faerie abilities?

For example, I've already gotten all the abilities for the Water series. What happens if I try to bless my pet with another Water faerie?

I think nothing will happen.

Then why not u try yourself?

Nothing will happen, unless there is a higher level faerie ability you do not have yet, and are at a high enough level to get it.
