Step 2:
Go back to the Hall of Heroes and talk to the Janitor again. Push the button next to him, and he will tell you that the gears are stuck.
Click on any one of the statues in the Hall of Heroes, then click at the very top of the picture (indicated in red). This will show you the ceiling.

Return to visit the Altadorian Archivist. You don't need to do anything other than visit him. The archivist says, "Amazing! The ceiling of the Hall of Heroes opened? What a marvel! Perhaps there are some clues about the Book of Ages to be found there."
Go back to the Hall of Heroes and click on the top of a statue to look at the ceiling again. It should have changed so it now looks something like this:
![[Image: altador10.jpg]](http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/kpax94/altador10.jpg)
You will find some stairs to the left of the Hall of Heroes, which can be accessed in two ways, (both indicated in red). Click them and you will find yourself in the Observatory.

Step 3:
It is now possible to join the Astronomy Club. You can do this by clicking here. Note, the Underwater Basket Weaving Club Notice has been replaced with the Astronomy Club notice...
![[Image: archives_main_flyers.gif]](http://images.neopets.com/altador/archives/archives_main_flyers.gif)
![[Image: archives_main_flyers_2_c1600.gif]](http://images.neopets.com/altador/archives/archives_main_flyers_2_c1600.gif)
You will find yourself on a page with the following information:
The Astronomy Club is a place where Neopians can learn all about the cosmos. Stars, planets, comets, asteroids, constellations, nebulae... they're all out there waiting to be discovered.
![[Image: astrof.png]](http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/kpax94/astrof.png)
The president of the Astronomy Club waves as you enter the astronomy lab. "Hey, thanks for coming! We're really happy you joined the club. In fact, as a new member, we've got a special gift for you..."
![[Image: telescope.png]](http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/kpax94/telescope.png)
"...your very own telescope! It's just a basic model, but it will let you look up at the stars. You'll just have to find somewhere reasonably high-altitude to use it."
Return to the Archivist Lenny, and he will tell you:
"Ah, I see you've joined the Astronomy Club. Is there more excitement to be found than in observing the heavens, and mapping the intricate patterns of the cosmos?"
Go to the Observatory at the top of the Hall of Heroes. Click on the Telescope Stand (indicated in red)
![[Image: telescopestant.png]](http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/kpax94/telescopestant.png)
You will now be directed to a page which says:
"You place your telescope onto the mount, and aim it up at the heavens. Remarkable!"
You will also see a message which tells you that your telescope is being set up. Wait. If this takes more than a few seconds, you can try right clicking on the 'loading' phrase and then selecting play (not all computers have this option, apparently, but for those who do it could save you valuable time).
After a few moments, you will see the following on your screen:
![[Image: eyeview.png]](http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/kpax94/eyeview.png)
You can move the pointer (indicated in red), and the coordinates change (indicated in blue). There is a clickable button at the top also (indicated in pink).
The coordinates in the box (indicated in red) show you where the cross-hair is at - the very center of your telescope view. The stars you click on will show you their own specific coordiantes.
For reference, if you go HERE you can get a list of all the co-ordinates of your own stars. They are formatted so that after your co-ordinate you get a number from 1-6, designating the colour of your star. (I think that 1=white/small, 2=yellow, 3=blue, 4=pink, 5=purple, 6=white/large, tho I may be mistaken...)
If you click on the red button, you get the following menu:
![[Image: astroview1.png]](http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/kpax94/astroview1.png)
The Telescope is fairly simple to use. You should get used to using it now. You can select stars and join them up using the menu highlighted above.
![[Image: zzzzz.png]](http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/kpax94/zzzzz.png)
When you click on 6 stars, you are able to press 'submit' (indicated in red) - a button that pops up in the lower left hand corner.
![[Image: submit.png]](http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/kpax94/submit.png)
When you do this, a message will show which tells you that it is 'Checking Astronomical Data'.
![[Image: checking.png]](http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/kpax94/checking.png)
If you enter the wrong constelation, you will then see this message:
![[Image: nomatch.png]](http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/kpax94/nomatch.png)
![[Image: archives_main_flyers.gif]](http://images.neopets.com/altador/archives/archives_main_flyers.gif)
