I used the lab ray and it changed the species but i was thinking about using a morphing potion to change it back. When I morph will my species stay that way?

It'll stay until the lab ray changes it again.

okay thank you.. what about the petpet ray will it always stay a pile of soot?

No, if you remove the petpet it will change back to its original form (same if it changes to a different petpet) or you can zap it some more it will eventually change from a pile of soot to a different petpet.

Just be careful with the petpet lab ray--it can make your pet disappear entirely, which is why I would only reccommend zapping a cheap petpet.
